Haha..it's like an All-Star lineup against a split-squad lineup tonight.

It's very confusing to me why a hitter wasn't brought up instead of a reliever. The Sox only have 2 bench players available if Jackson is still hurt (Sands, Navarro). As for the bullpen, they just had a day off and have Monday off also. With Sale and Q going, it's unlikely you're going to need a significant number of innings covered this weekend (as long as Rodon doesn't implode).

Holy s*** that lineup is trash. You're really going to bring up Kahnle over a guy like Coats? This is the perfect opportunity to give him a shot. It's almost like they don't value winning division games.

Grab Some Bench! ‏@Grab_Some_Bench 3h3 hours ago

Carlos Rodon had two awful starts (0.1 IP vs LAA & rain delay game @ TEX). Take those out & he's good for a 2.86 ERA & 1.25 WHIP. #WhiteSox

Why does he insist on Shuck batting 5th?! (Has flashbacks of 2005 Timo Perez batting 5th).

RV reminds me of Ozzie except that unlike Ozzie he has zero redeeming qualities as a manager.

I had my fill of Kahnle last weekend.

Hahn should be ashamed of himself for our extreme lack of outfield depth.

Maybe they figured that DET hitters couldn't get the job finished against Aroldis Chapman, so Kahnle will have the same effect on the Tigers' line-up?

Would almost rather have Leury or Bourgeois out there because they can at least cover RF or CF compared to the disaster looming anytime Sands or Garcia set foot in that rather large expanse of grass past the infield dirt.

But seriously what are they afraid of with Coats? He's 26 and leading the league in batting average. How do you not call him up now?

Because they prefer to wait until he cools off...bring him up...then they argue they were justified in not bringing him up because he wasn't ready when he goes 2/21 out of the starting gate?

The same thing happened with Viciedo one year, Ozzie wanted to keep Juan Pierre in an everyday role "because he worked harder than everyone else on the team and was universally-liked and admired for his career achievements."

Or, maybe Ozzie saw before anyone else that Viciedo was incapable of adjusting to major league pitching.

That's actually pretty impressive, that he could pick up on that with Beckham, Viciedo, Brian Anderson and Josh Fields while being stone-cold drunk half the time.

He wasn't drunk at the park during work time, Caulfield. It wasn't like he was managing trashed
