SoxAce Posted October 13, 2016 Share Posted October 13, 2016 Forsling, Kempny and Motte looked very good in their NHL debuts. Seabrook was great. Toews and Panik solid. TVR on the other hand was terrible. Slow, not physical and no offense. Ideally a #7 defenseman at best, but can be a #6 who should rotate in that spot. Schmaltz wasn't very good. This is pretty much my take on last night's game as well, the 9 shots is what really had me concerned after the game. Thanks. I tend to not believe in hockey fighting because statistics don't really bear out that they are effective, but if one must fight, it probably shouldn't be a valuable player like Toews. Darling in goal. Nashville goal came after Kempny made a poor decision that resulted in a 3 on 1 where Preds got the rebound and the goal. The goal by Schmaltz and Seabrook were both deflected by Nashville so Hawks getting some good luck but that happens when you are aggressive. Hawks outshot in the 1st. Darling definitely playing well.
