  1. Ding, ding, ding! Signals to the masses that he is "taking charge." Wonder how many times he said they need to flush these first two weeks?
  2. No reason to not let the kids get that experience over some washed up arm like Flexen. At least they are quick to pivot in that regard.
  3. Fletcher was actually known for his glove where Colas is not. Yes, he played CF in the minors, but a lot of young players who are top prospects get looks in CF to see if they can stick. Colas is a corner, not a CF. Can he play there in a pinch? Yes, but he belongs in RF where his cannon of an arm plays best.
  4. He looked the part in ST. I honestly think the only reason he was even sent down is to get an extra year of control.
  5. Charlotte is one of the worst parks to evaluate pitching prospects. I wouldn't worry about 1 bad start to start the year.
  6. MiLB deal. Obviously he is gonna get a shot, but he must be extremely desperate.
  7. You're right, except now this organization would have to drastically overpay to get a guy to willingly choose to sign here - something they've never ever been able to do. Adams and Kim are both going to have big markets and thus the Sox will be left standing with their thumbs up their ass if by some miracle they actually did decide to go after a big name. No way any FA worth a damn is gonna want to come here.
  8. I have no doubt JR is so delusional he believed he was assembling 2005 2.0 with this team of nobody's.
  9. Or he deserves all the blame. I'll never apologize to that crusty asshole.
  10. I'm not gonna lie, I'd love to see a 1-20 start by this team. I really want to see how K-Mart Mr. Clean and Getz answer to something that catastrophic.
  11. Or he sees what a shitshow this roster is and wants no part of it. He isn’t stupid.
  12. Ozzie wants to be managing again - he might just take them up on it. Problem is his style of managing doesn't work in today's game. Literally no other team has given him a second chance. Regardless, he isn't the answer, it would be another JR smoke and mirrors show living off of past success to draw fans in.
  13. The funny thing is... we rant how terrible the Royals organization is, yet they've been more successful than the Sox have since 2005. It's shocking how bad the Sox organization has been.
  14. Three straight (young) players traded for cash. "Depth" has thinned rather quickly.
  15. Santander is too good to end up on the Sox. He'll have offers from other teams that will blow the Sox out of the water.
