I haven’t written him off but I do hate that big leg kick. I don’t see that working against higher level pitching. Too much movement, needs to simplify things.
Agreed. The only thing I would say though is that it was very difficult to find any quality bats this past offseason with the budget he was working with. Not sure what he could have done.
Boy, Zavala is really struggling. Down to .196 BA, .586 OPS. I hate his huge leg kick. Hope he gets rid of that. Thankfully, the pitching Getz got in the Cease return has been lights out.
So once Clevinger joins the team, the starting rotation will look something like this?
(1) Crochet (2) Clevinger (3) Fedde (4) Nastrini (5) Cannon
Dare I say that’s bordering on a respectable rotation?
And despite all that they were still a pennant contender for two seasons (a rare occurrence for this organization). Unfortunately, the peak was much shorter than expected but they had a legitimately strong roster for two seasons.
