He won't be.

Wite mentioned Abreu may be one of the least likely trade candidates in the League.

I suspect Avi is even less likely.

And I'm fine with it. To trade him, you better get superstar value for him.

Who would have predicted this statement to be valid about 6 months ago :lolhitting

More importantly will it be valid 5 months from now.

Unlikely Avi gets traded, but nobody believes he is actually as good as he had played so far. I'd need a considerable package to move him though.

Kelly+Weaver+Perez.

I doubt the Cardinals would pull the trigger as they are really hurt by the lack of picks.

Arguments for Cards doing it.

Kelly is blocked by Molina

Perez has not even played this year and is likely 3 years away.

Weaver is just a duplicate of Flaherty and Reyes is still their number 1 pitching prospect.

:huh: :huh: :huh:

I wouldn't even give Avi all-star value, let alone superstar. Come on people, let's not pretend he's suddenly a 4 WAR player. There is too much of a sample size that says he sucks to think he's suddenly a superstar.

QUOTE (Scoots @ Jun 18, 2017 -> 02:10 AM)
No. Don't trade him. He's a core part of this rebuild. He can be the teams star player in 2 years if he really did figure it out. And if he did, not likely any prospect will match what he is doing.r

We might be in a rebuild, but Avi us a big part of our plan moving forward. Scoot says two years but you can make a legitimate argument that he us already the star of the team. He is probably our All-Star rep. If we just trade everyone without any regard for their replacement we will be in the cellar for five years
