Severe storms were forecast for the past two days. Is that when you think attendance figures should be bandied about sarcastically? You appear to be hell bent on trying to damage this franchise. How many games each year do you attend?

The opening series with Detroit set the tone. Sox could have and probably should have won 2/3 of those games but they didn't. Grifol was responsible for not having every player ready to compete, physically and mentally, from Opening Day. Multiple strained and pulled muscles? Blame the players if you want but ownership pays the manager and a conditioning staff to have players prepared before every game and every at-bat. That was not the case. What the heck were they doing at Spring "Training." Moving forward, the team is obviously short on talent but Grifol has to come up with a line-up and a strategy to scratch across a few runs. No need for Grifol to stay up at night analyzing film. Instead typical baseball strategy for a weak hitting team is called for - take more pitches to try and get walks...bunt....hit toward the opposite field... move around in the box from pitch to pitch....grind out every at-bat. And please move slow players and guys that hit a lot of grounders down in the line-up to avoid double plays. Well, I am tired of waiting for the Sox to do any of that so IMO, Grifol has to go as soon as possible. It's not too late to at least have a course change that can win some games. Don't wait until the All Star break to give this guy his walking papers.

AV's upside has been somewhat limited IMO, because of his lumbering football linebacker body type and his inability (at least to this point) to adjust to scouting reports. All too often, pitchers exploit his vulnerabilities at the plate (i.e., inability to cover off-speed pitches on the outer half). We would all like to see AV hit 25+ home runs this year but instead, he looks like he wants to lead the league in HIDP. Bottom line is that AV has to get hot and start hitting some bombs.

I you are a cub fan go ahead. Nothing positive comes from losing...nothing. You break the spirit of the players and the fans and diminish the franchise in every way imaginable. That is why I don't trust or respect the opinions of those who relish in WSox losses.

The area 78 stadium proposal was created solely by the filth that owns that strip of land, and that isn't Jerry Reinsdorf. Sox are not going to relocate to crooked creek and no one should expect taxpayers or Reinsdorf to throw 2 Billion dollars at that developer. Amazon and others pulled out of there and the Sox should distance themselves from it as well. There are other alternatives and right now there is nothing wrong with GR field. Meanwhile, as everyone knows, the problem is not enough talent on the current roster. Adding talent may be easier said than done, but it must be done.

The 1977 WSox probably drew more fans than almost any other WSox team in the history of the franchise. The reasons for the attendance draw were basically twofold - Harry Carey and a team that hit a lot of clutch home runs. The '83 Sox had a great team but the fan support started early on with Fisk, Luzinski and Kittle hitting roof top shots. I realize that winning games is the ultimate goal, but a lot of fans come out to see home runs. Our line-up, even at full strength, has not produced enough home runs at GRF to create any reason for a lot of fans to attend.

You must not go to any games based on your comments. Eloy and Vaughn stretch their hamstrings before games on the field (and for Eloy, between at-bats as well). Both of them also use rubber band stretch rings around their ankles prior to games to exercise their legs. You think Eloy is a moron?
