  1. They're actually doing this to SUPPRESS paid attendance figures, since tickets under $3 each don't count towards paid attendance and the rent they pay for the ballpark is based on paid attendance. But they still get a little bit of ticket revenue from seats that would've gone unsold anyway, plus added concession/merchandise sales, plus a fuller ballpark leads to more ad revenue and gives the image that Sox tickets are scarce and people should buy tickets for summer games now. Smart move on all points. Only question is how rainouts will be handled.
  2. Smooth transaction with melissa1334
  3. 9 seats per game in section 506 row 11 seats 1-9. These are from a Double Play Plan so they include 100 level access. Available for $5 each for the following games: Sun 5/10 vs. Reds Sun 5/24 vs. Twins Sun 6/7 vs. Tigers (6 available) Sun 6/21 vs. Rangers Sun 7/5 vs. Orioles Sun 8/30 vs. Mariners Sun 9/13 vs. Twins Sun 10/4 vs. Tigers I can accept Chase Quickpay and email the tickets to you from my season ticket account for no additional fee. I can also accept PayPal but there's an additional fee for PayPal (2.9%+$0.30 per order). If interested, the best way to get in touch with me is email at Jason82807@yahoo.com
  4. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Dec 5, 2012 -> 10:59 AM) Keep the park close to full, and the long term health of the team is solid. I agree, short term as well. I believe that with the new Sox ticket pricing structure, ticket revenue will be roughly the same as last year, but concessions/merchandise revenue will increase in the short term, and TV and billboard advertising revenue will increase in the long term.
  5. Vote "Wrong" on tonight's myfoxchicago.com poll Right or Wrong, the Cubs will have a better season than the White Sox. Edit/Delete Message
  6. I haven't seen any negative feedback yet, but I think it would be a good idea to make this feedback thread for POSITIVE FEEDBACK ONLY and start another thread for negative feedback. This will make it easier when looking up who to deal with and who to avoid. BTW smooth deal with RockRaines for the Jim Beam Club tickets last year.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 17, 2007 -> 05:21 PM) Brooks Boyer designed it to attract more casual fans, which means not us. It shouldnt be that appealing to us. I think it would be more effective at attracting casual fans if they highlighted some of the bars/restaurants around The Cell, instead of just the ballpark itself. I bet Wrigley would be like a third full every game if there weren't all those Wrigleyville bars.
  8. It's almost like they are trying to hide the fact it is run by the White Sox, but it doesn't mention anything else to do.
  9. I wasn't able to buy Opening Day or Sox/Cubs tix thru the presale either. I think that's because of the premium seat holders in the new Home Plate Club. I haven't even heard of it on the day of the STH presale. I bought the club seats, butnot in time for the presale.
  10. Wow. What a pathetic season it has been for the Blackhawks. I believe they do not have the ability to beat the Chicago Wolves. The Wolves are actually drawing better attendance than the Hawks, even though the American Hockey League is seemingly on the brink of chaos. I will post this same post verbatum next year, as I see no reason why this will change in the near future.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 20, 2007 -> 07:09 AM) Here is your chance to amaze and impress your friends. The main prediction we want to see is what the White Sox record will be, and where they will finish in the AL Central, and further if you feel so. Feel free to add in any other predictions such as Konerko SBs and Ozuna HRs that you feel are pertinent. I'm predicting the White Sox will be 102-60.
