AND THAT'S A GREG AIDED WHITE SOX WINNER!

Bullpen blew it for me and I knew the bullpen was a weakness of many on this team. I thought I had that one. Sox couldn't even support STRONG law of averages entering that twinbill. -

I even got to meet our former bball coach Bobby Frasor this year. Fun times. -

I don't like the new trend of flat out lying to people. He says this with maybe 1,000 people there?? Probably not even 1000. -

Oh no. Is 'southside stand up" the new guy's home run call? Please, no. Or is that when we win? If it is, cmon. Three wins?? Stand up to puke. -

Sorry for the bad betting advice Buehrle and any others. I'm shocked we blew the lead. I smelled a DH sweep. All you can do is double up for game two and get your dough back. Sox win. ... I shall buy a beer or corned beef for any fan that took my bad advice in a game at the Cell this summer. Peace out. Sorry for the bad call on the sweep. For what it's worth, it's Sox all over game two. W. -
Is it wrong to want the Sox to embarrass themselves?
greg775 replied to reiks12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'll tell u one thing. If Sox somehow lose two tomorrow against all law of averages somebody's got to be fired. Or several players have to be demoted. Just swap five guys on the current roster for five minor leaguers for a week. There's no possible way Chicago can start the year 0-7 vs. KC. Something will have to be done tomorrow if there are dual losses. Or maybe they'll tell us Pham is coming soon. Just relax and wait for Pham-ball. -

OK guys. Once in a while greg has a strong premonition. I just have a feeling Sox win both games tomorrow if they are not rained out. It's partly law of averages (even though the law of averages might be erased when a team is this bad). There's no reason for us to win both except a.) The Sox as bad as they are have to win a few home games in 2024. b.) Law of averages says the Royals can't be that much better than the Sox in 7 games in a row. This is a pathetic Royals team. So head to Vegas if u must. Greg guarantees a Sox sweep tomorrow. ... One thing is for sure. If the Sox get swept, it's not hyperbole to say Grifol must be fired on the spot. It's impossible to go 0-7 against a team in April. Sox because of the law of weird baseball averages take 2 tomorrow. Bank it baby. -
Bleacher Report ranks Sox MiLB system 3rd

One might argue the roster wasn't that great but Ricky did a fine job with what he had. Sox kind of deserve what's happening after what they did to RR and Bennetti too. Bad karma. -
In the mlb.com team meeting story it had a blurb on Eloy coming back from injury. This proves our training staff may be overmatched. Why isn't Eloy getting advice on this. This comment makes it sound like he doesn't know what to do. A real test of Jiménez’s recovery could come from running the bases at full tilt. Jiménez couldn’t provide a definitive answer on how he would approach those situations, even feeling good and close to 100 percent. “I don’t like to say that I’m not going to do it, because at the end of the day, I try to hustle, I try to play hard every single day,” Jiménez said. “To me, saying I’m going to take it easy, did I really want to take it easy, or did I really want to keep hustling and keep pushing? Right now, I don’t have a concrete answer to that question.” https://www.mlb.com/news/eloy-jimenez-activated-from-white-sox-injured-list

I wonder if Burger's worst enemy is the offseason. He's off to a slow start after a good season last year. 34 homers and 80 rbi isn't bad even for modern lift and pull era.

I know $$ is so vital to Stoney and most all people, but how can he last the season? He's seen so much baseball in his life it has to be pretty tough to provide commentary on these meaningless games. I'd think Stoney would go the way of Hawk and resign and count on a summer of golf, not watching bad baseball. Stoney is 77 in July. Why would he waste precious time in the booth for this team?

Broken record here. I do not know baseball anymore. But even I knew in late January when most all of the transactions were complete that this lineup had no chance. Why didn't Jerry and Getz panic at that point and figure something out offensively?? I mean I guess our lineup with Eloy and Robert available has a chance on a 'given night' to score 5-8 runs, but even with them I knew we were doomed offensively. Without those two, I can't see it getting better run wise. Because a majority of our hitters are incapable of even hitting .250. I guess conceivably Vaughn, Eloy and Sheets could get hot and Beni could turn into an OBP machine but, nah. With all these no name pitchers and clueless hitters, the Sox gots no chance on 9 of 10 nights.

We don't even have any proven players to take over a team meeting. If Jose Abreu was here he could ask: "All due respect to my teammates and you coaches, do you think we're stupid? We're not capable of better than 2-14 with this roster of nice guys, but baseball bums." What's Vaughn or Sheets going to speak with their sub-human batting averages? Or Cease? Wait, he got traded. DeJong or Nicky could get up and say: "Let's be honest. I'm just happy to be here helping out our new defensive juggernaut. You got me for defense; I'll show u some defense while hitting .150. Peace out."

Hey the Marlins are 3-14. Maybe they'd ship us back Jake Burger for a few minor league pitchers. They're going nowhere and we need Jake back!

I see Jake the Snake is not having a good year yet. He does have 3 homers and 15 RBI which would help our lineup. Not getting on base or hitting for average, though.
