So when does the Hayes Hype Train reach Chicago? Dude is on a tear.

Interesting option. Wouldnt mind him coming up and Sanchez going back down. Him and Saladino are a bit of a redundancy right now.

I'd personally like to see Sanchez stay and Saladino go down if it came down to it.

Why? Sanchez is limited to one position because he doesn't have enough arm strength for SS or 3B like Saladino does.

Saladin could play all INF spots and has played some OF too.

Wasn't he hitting in the .100s like a week ago or am I imagining things

From yesterday's game thread...

Danny Hayes, first 7 games: .000/.125/.000, 14 K in 24 PA

Danny Hayes, 10 games since: .500/.579/.906, 3 HR, 5 K in 38 PA

I mean, it's really small samples, but... that's a ridiculous turnaround. He went hitless his first 7 games, and here after 17 games his SEASON line is now .302/.403/.547. It's perhaps not crazy to suggest he could help the MLB club at some point this year.

Trade chip?

Possibly, though Danish's appeal will vary wildly from organization to organization. He has a funky motion that has many scouts screaming reliever or future injury risk. So the team that values Danish the most might be the White Sox.

Example of what I am talking about with Keith Law's chat today....

"Kareem: Tyler Danish seems to be making some strides repeating AA, is he still solely projectable as a RP?

Klaw: I can’t see him as a starter with that delivery or going through a lineup 3x with his stuff. I could see him as a really effective long guy like Adam Warren last year, making some spot starts, but mostly going through lineups once and getting groundballs."

Though him saying he could be a long reliever is more optimistic/kind then he was earlier.

This is an organization that just called up Scott Carroll. It's not exactly rolling in pitching.

How about developing him, maybe rushing him a little to AAA, and see what happens. The alternative is to trade 3 Danishs at inflated July prices for one "proven pitcher" who has a good chance of flopping.
