  1. The evaluation is the easy part. It's the getting players that don't fucking suck which will take a while./
  2. At least someone finally said it out loud, even if many didn't believe it before.
  3. https://theathletic.com/5427977/2024/04/19/white-sox-losses-2024-1962-mets/?campaign=5888993&source=dailyemail&userId=6062851
  4. Assuming they don't have the Clevinger baggage, sure.
  5. Yeah, if he is anywhere near a mid rotation type of starter, teams will pay up for him. All you have to do is look at what pitching was sold for at the last deadline.
  6. I always hear complaining about players being generic and speaking in cliches until they actually speak their minds.
  7. If Getz can convince ownership to bring in one less crappy bench player/ reliever per year and spend that money on player development, scouting, drafting, and the minors in general, Getz is already a better GM than Hahn. The problem is Getz seems to be perfectly willing to waste money on pointless players as he keeps turning over an awful roster, so I don't have a lot of hope. A perfect example is wasting a one year deal on Shaw. That $1.5 million could have fed minor leaguers, hired scouts, and/or more modern development programming.
  8. Yet they launched Sportsvision when the Sox were about as good as could be.
  9. He has a nice grip and slides it right off.
  10. Honestly I really want to see him pitching Charlotte as a prep for a bandbox in Chicago. If he succeeds there, it is a really good sign. Birmingham is a pitchers park. I want to see hitters who can hit in Birmingham and pitch in Charlotte.
  11. He does have a thing against stealing.
