greg775 Posted July 28, 2014 Share Posted July 28, 2014 That's crazy. I go to college volleyball matches on occasion and there's always some amazing looking woman on both teams. You just watch the match and occasionally remark how good looking some of them are. Naturally your eyes focus on the gorgeous women in the lineup occasionally. No big deal. Hell, some people look at cheerleaders. College volleyball is so much more exciting than women's basketball. It's because those women can do things the average frat guy or dorm guy or 20-something intramural jock can't. You watch a college volleyball match and you see power and some great athleticism in keeping balls alive with dives, etc. I'm serious. Not a bad sport now that they've gotten rid of side-outs which were boring and too hard to keep track of scoring. Women's bball on the other hand is so bad. The boys (especially) in this country just go crazy over every pretty girl, whether it's online or JAV, so that this situation went out of control in Taiwan makes perfect sense (even David Beckham was swallowed up by so many fans and female/male admirers he literally had to run away from one public event in Shanghai or Beijing that got totally out of control)...the most followed woman in the whole world for Chinese is Sora/Sola Aoi, a porn star. In the end, I think the reason for her popularity (volleyball player) is her Asian look and height/legginess...because Asian men go crazy for tall/thin/fair or white-skinned (in general).
