How bad is it? I stopped reading anything from Levine a while ago. All he does is regurgitate what someone else has written.

Congrats to Kopech on a great season. Made some big strides.

Yeah...pretty sure Kopech will be the ace of the staff...not the closer. Especially with what he has shown this season. Thsi is actually the first time I've seen anyone mention him as a potential closer...why? Because he throws so hard? Obviously no issues yet.

Bruce never said he would be the closer. Those comments in the article are based on what scouts have said in the past, that his stuff plays great for a closer. Of course, that would hinge on him failing as a starter first.

Eh, it's been a knock. Mainly due to control but also prior to this season his inability to stay on the field.

But I think this year answers alld oubts for me.

I loved the interview last night. One, him acting like June was horrible for him and his desire to improve. And how he recognized immediately how he needed more development on changeup to work in AAA.

He was good in AAA. So you know that when he means that he needs it, he means he needs it to dominate those hitters. I love that.

Well to be fair it was a rather poor month. Averaged less than 5 innings per start, 6.95 ERA, and 18 walks in 22 innings.

hahaaaa....he edited it of course (after a few of us mocked his ass on twitter)...he said Kopech came over with Giolito and Dunning in the Eaton trade and was later referring about his time with the Nationals and how good it was for him. Looked like a complete uninformed boob...

Oh wow. That's some butchery right there and was obviously written off the top of his head. I like Levine the person ( nice guy, really ) but not the writer. Sounds like Bruce is getting worse and completely out of touch from the White Sox. Stick with your cubbies Bruce.

Did you catch the game last night when Kopech was in the booth? He's still young but has a mature head on his shoulders. Bright kid.
