  1. What if Price is smoke screen and the pitcher is Sale?
  2. I don't know what Eaton was like in the clubhouse, but he was cool to my kids at spring training and signed a ton of autographs for the crowd. Tyler Flowers too.
  3. Link to game recap for posterity. 4-1-19 game recap Baseball reference 2019 schedule and box scores
  4. Well, this news just makes me sad. When sports doesn't enrich your life, time to step away.
  5. Fair points. The similarity though is that they are high-demand, limited-supply workers that can make or break your organization. Also, more and more often they are millennials.
  6. This post is just the worst. This is a business. To attract the best employees these days, you have to treat them well. Companies like Google provide great work environments and compensation. To keep an employee from going to a competitor, it is best not to screw them over on a technicality that will probably be changed soon. If the player is special, treat him like you would want to be treated.
  7. Also, we are all slowly dying, the oceans will eventually evaporate, and the sun will turn red giant and explode. Baseball is pointless.
  8. Sox don't have to meet. Just text "10 year 350 opt outs 3 and 7"
  9. JR gave Bell a record contract. With an opt out.
  10. Do not get your hopes up. This is optimism. If you are the kind of person that expects your airplane to crash, don't read this. Sox should offer 10 years 340 guaranteed. More than might be necessary. Don't send the message that you are bargain hunting. Send the message that he is the future of your franchise. If he wants an out clause, try to get after at least 4 years. Send a strong offer! Not some might be competitive offer. A definitely competitive offer. It's a bold move. But a move that could change the course of White Sox history and increase the value of the franchise. Mr. Reinsdorf could do this if he considers the marketing value of a superstar. Some will ask, Where's the evidence that this is happening? (No evidence. Just makes sense to me) Jerry is cheap! (no he isn't, he just miscalculated on Machado)
  11. If anyone has anything, please don’t say anything that could screw up Sox stealth attack
  12. More than Shack (a poster I respect), it just makes sense for the Sox to do it. And they are under the radar. So it MIGHT be possible. I’ve gone optimistic. That’s how I cope with life I guess.
  13. Don’t get your hopes up. No clear evidence. But I want it to happen bad. I’m a fan. Hahn is a fan too. And it might make enough business sense to Mr Reinsdorf
