  1. Yes, Buehrle has been successful -- but do you see the dominance that McCarthy exhibits? Buehrle is very solid, don't get be wrong, but he gives up a lot more hits than IP and doesn't have the strikeout numbers that McCarthy does. I guess the question can be turned into this: We know McCarthy is progressing nicely thus far. What is it that made him dominant in '04?
  2. The Sox traded Ray-Ray to the A's in '02 for ... Jon Adkins. Ouch.
  3. Tribune report of Ordonez supposedly offering "home town discount" to Cubs. How wrong would *that* be....
  4. Eagles faltered in attempts to *make* the playoffs? Eh...
  5. Who do the Sox take off their 40 man roster for AJP and/or Igotcuchi?
  6. QUOTE(lvjeremylv @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 10:47 AM) Teams/Owners couldn't care less about their players taking steroids. If they did, MLB would have a real steroid policy instead of the slap-in-the-face-of-a-joke one they have now. According to his website, AJ had quite an amazing 2003 season, what with his 111 HRs and 74 RBIs. That's one for the record books......
  7. QUOTE(USAF_11F4H @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 09:59 AM) I haven't read all of the thread so I don't know if this has been corrected, but aren't the Bears drafting #7? 1. 49ers 2. Browns 3. Dolphins 4. Buccaneers 5. Raiders 6. Titans 7. Bears How are the 5-11 team's decided then?
  8. QUOTE(Jake @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) where will the bears pick? I haven't read all of the thread so I don't know if this has been corrected, but aren't the Bears drafting #7? 1. 49ers 2. Browns 3. Dolphins 4. Buccaneers 5. Raiders 6. Titans 7. Bears
  9. Do you live .. in ... the Gulf?
  10. Freddy Garcia 17-8, 4.15 ERA, 215 IP, 65 BB / 200 K Mark Buehrle 16-11, 3.90 ERA, 240 IP, 60 BB / 145 K El Duque: 13-9, 4.20 ERA, 170 IP, 70 BB / 170 K Jose Contreras: 13-9, 4.85 ERA, 185 IP, 95 BB / 170 K Jon Garland: 12-12, 4.70 ERA, 205 IP, 75 BB / 110K
  11. Nope, it's not an article like I mentioned it was? Nope it's not an article speaking about what I labeled the topic? K.
  12. Then he would be grossly overpayed at $9+M a year. If he wants to slink down to a #2 or #3 pitcher in a rotation where he doesn't have to worry about pitching "with so much pressure", then he should be worth no more than $6-7M a year. EDIT: Use the extra $3M to buy him a set of balls.
