As a fan, you would have to massively overpay me to manage this fucking abomination. It's the worst job in baseball. You can't squeeze water out of a rock, and anyone who has watched more than nine innings of this team, knows it. They won't fire Grifol because they won't find anybody to take this job that would be an upgrade.

White Sox currently have a team avg of .188 and team OPS of .552. The Wilmington Quicksteps, in 1884, had a team average of .175. It seems the White Sox hold the record for lowest average of the modern era with .212, in 1910. Washington in 1888, had an average of. 207... It's absolutely amazing how historically awful this fucking team is.

From 2008 to 2024, the lowest season of attendance for the Blackhawks was 2022-2023, and they still had 87% attendance, on average (17,167 per game). In a rebuild year this season, they averaged 96% capacity. They averaged over 100% attendance until the COVID season. The Bulls still draw for some reason, but the White Sox wish they had the attendance numbers the Blackhawks have.

I love how people keep bringing this up, even though the management that was guilty of this is completely gone, and the owner is dead. This is also rich considering you are still a White Sox fan, despite the Omar Vizquel s%*#. Which was just as deplorable, if not worse... That also happened much more recently. I am also clearly talking about a financial perspective here, and not "image".

If I am the Blackhawks, I want nothing to do with the Bulls/Sox. It's only going to hurt their business by being tied to them.

Just put him on ignore like a bunch of us have. Their plan for Crochet is clearly "pitch him until his arm falls off". I wonder if there's some kind of grudge being held by the Sox for him insisting on being a starter this offseason?

Say what you will about Leury Legend, but at least the guy played with passion. These guys are zombies.

I guess I should have phrased it as "acquisitions". They are spending almost $15M on Nicky Lopez, Max Stassi, and Martin Maldonado(money lit on fire). Signed Brebbia to a $5.5M contract. Hill and Flexen. Pretty much every move they made over the offseason was a total failure.

I would almost put money on it. How are they going to improve and win games? Where is help coming from offensively? If anything, the pitchers pitching well will turn back into pumpkins, when they realize this team couldn't score in a Tijuana whorehouse with a fistful of hundred dollar bills. Once the reality sets in that they are likely to lose every time they take the field, things are going to snowball. There's no light at the end of the tunnel for this team. There are no reinforcements coming.

That's what's so pathetic about this team. They weren't trying to tank. There's absolutely no reason to, as they are locked into 10th overall. There was no motivation to be the worst team in baseball. They spent a bunch of money on free agents, too. They could have had a BETTER team than this, by spending LESS money. Getz was truly trying to improve the team, which is what's so depressing. He's a fucking terrible GM.

The 2003 Detroit Tigers have the worst 162 game record of all time, right? There is no way this team wins 43 games. Just zero chance of that happening.
