Asked a baseball executive if Hamilton’s discipline was for PEDs. His response: “Worse.” The executive declined to elaborate.

didn't he once had a drug problem???

worse than PED?

~~~ edit, if it was or is about drugs, i think they can void his contract, if the team wants to. that is if this is all about drugs.
A source tells Jon Heyman of CBS Sports that Josh Hamilton relapsed a few months back involving "at least cocaine."
Heyman says Hamilton turned himself in and that, if true, he would be put in a drug program as a first-time offender. Without a positive test, it's unclear how MLB could suspend Hamilton for the incident. Reports were that the 33-year-old had a meeting with MLB Wednesday to discuss what happened. More should be known shortly.
I feel bad for him he fell off the wagon. I hope he can get back on and live a happy, full, life. But he does get tested 3 times a week. I don't see how anyone should get credit for turning himself in vs. a positive test.
Blue Jays OF Michael Saunders out until the All-Star break with a torn meniscus.
I know a lot of people were interested in him, but he just cannot stay healthy.
that's too back and really a freak injury....stepped/tripped or whatever on a sprinkler head. Having played at a handful of these ST facilities practice field out here over the years....I'm actually surprised we haven't heard of more of these things since those commercial sprinker heads fairly big (about the size of a saucer). When your cleats hit them it's like stepping on ice...
This is trouble: Dodgers' Alex Guerrero says 'I'm not going down' http://fw.to/0UXuxjl
There's our next Cuban middle infielder. Joking. At least hopefully not...unless he said it in another context, like he's goingto fight to win the position this time and leave no doubters, versus refusing an assignment from his org.
Oakland has a switch pitcher in camp. I hope he makes it. It really surprises me there haven't at least been a couple of these guys around. You really wouldn't have to be that good from at least one side to be really effective.
He pitched today actually.
