There is really nothing else to discuss

Q rumors cold as ice and I am a bit worried about it.

For real. I'm all for just shutting down the site until a Q trade happens. Let's all go spend some time with our neglected girlfriends/wives and maybe go to the kids' games for a change. Get a lil work done too.

Is there market distortion or disequilibrium caused by a lack of remaining franchises that are hard-pressed financially, looking to compete the next 2-3 years AND have stocked farm systems that they're willing to wipe out?

Have the Shelby Miller and Eaton trades caused a sort of fear or inertia to set in?

Those are a couple of arguments against traditional supply and demand analysis, along with losing a lot less when signing QO players. Maybe the whole...he's so undervalued he becomes overvalued or is more valuable to the Sox effect as well?

Other than Pittsburgh, Houston and Colorado...most of the farm systems discussed (Boston, Cubs, Wash, NYY, LAD, Texas) in the last six months have been upper-tier in terms of revenues. I suppose Atlanta with their new stadium, but they will fall off to a predictable pattern if they don't win in 2017 and especially 2018.

Unfortunately, Pitt, Houston and Colorado aren't in the same division. St. Louis could also make sense, but won't part with Reyes and it's very doubtful we'd take Wong, Grichuk, Adams, etc., back. Plus, they would be extremely unlikely to deal Piscotty...so kind of a standoff imo.

How does this thread get 10 pages a day when NOTHING is happening?

The Bulls make us sick.

Plus, we're just excited about the future and what young talent could come into the organization.

I am not challenging the laws of supply and demand. I am, however, challenging your qualification of the return as "far less."

The supply of SPs who provide the type of surplus value that Quintana does will simply never be significantly more than it is now. Instead of 1-2, maybe there will be 2-3? That will not have a significant impact on demand.

I suppose the return could be SLIGHTLY less, however it won't be significantly less.

That's possible. We definitely don't know. We are all probably overreacting.

Keep Q! Drake trouble makers are gone. New manager. Go for it! Infusion of young talent mid season will help put them over the top.

I guarantee something similar to this has crossed KW's mind.

Q for Cutch straight up

Going for it!

Thank God Ken Williams isn't in charge of baseball personnel. More bum overpriced, mediocre free agents. Yuck.
