Yes, those are career numbers (he's only got 582 ML AB's). Granted he's been the #2 hitter mostly after the trade deadline(s) when he always seems to catch on, but I'm not sure if it should be considered a cause or effect of his spot in the order.

(I haven't posted here in quite some time...) ARow would be my ideal candidate for the #2 hole. Here are his numbers at various spots in the order (as I've posted on WXing a couple of times... I'm only posting the spots in the order with a substantial number of AB's) #1: 43 AB #2: 177 AB, .345 AVG, .406 OBP #3: 11 AB #4: 8 AB #5: 3 AB #6: 37 AB #7: 152 AB, .243 AVG, .301 OBP #8: 143 AB, .224 AVG, .266 OBP #9: 8 AB Why NOT give him the #2 spot at this point?
