  2. My profile shows that I joined in 2003, but under a different name I joined with earlier. I remember the poster that Jason mentioned as well as SoxNet and Sox N Roll. I had been posting on the whitesox.com forums where posters like CWSox and Hot Sox Chick were, but found out about this site and posted here instead of WSI. What was cool about this site is that I was given the ability to write since I was interested in sports journalism at the time. This site has led to some interesting outings with posters in real life (Quickman and JimH) through a connection my dad had, as well as meeting some other posters (Steff? and others at a game in 2004 or 2005). It’s had fun threads like “Mother Fucking b**** Ass Passionless White Sox,” informative forums like the main forum and Sex, Lies and Politics.😂 I have learned a lot from posters over the years here and continue to learn about advanced stats in baseball from people here. It’s real cool to see the site evolve and a privilege to come to a cool place to talk, read or b**** about White Sox baseball.

  4. And that because he was old he needed a quick turnaround?
  5. Given their inability to score runs, is it a bad idea to literally get someone on, bunt someone over and use two outs to try and manufacture one run? Then again they need people to get on without an out or get on period… Every single game I turn on the at bats are brutal. I think I saw a swing by Fletcher where he was way late with his swing last night. At least when DeJong is up I feel better about him actually getting a hit worth a damn.
  6. I just did not understand the rationale for trading Burger. Is it that they were risking him becoming injury prone again or that his power hitting was going away? Was it just that he was getting too old and they needed to get starting pitching? Or that they wanted to have a fire sale to replenish the farm?
  7. At least Soroka wasn’t all bad tonight. I keep wanting to call him Sirotka.
  8. Looks like the Texans voided the last few years of Diggs’ deal and paid him some additional salary this year to try and give him an incentive to play for a new contract.
  9. Are Leone or Garcia worth a damn or are they going to be DFA candidates?
  10. Exactly, or at least they will need starting pitchers. They can’t just start relievers. He doesn’t start though. The rotation is basically dog s%*# and they need more than just a few guys with starting experience. They also need to build a starting rotation in the coming years. I have been wanting another starting pitcher, it didn’t have to be Clevinger though.
  11. We have gone to the DuPage Children’s Museum in Naperville. If you ever go, go early to avoid the crowds.
  12. Sign Carl Edwards Jr. to the active roster and have him pitch behind Crochet or the number 5 starter as relief for the opener. Then trade him at the deadline if he’s worth anything or release him if he sucks.
  13. I saw the note about the season ticket holders and thought that there were tickets on StubHub. I thought it might be a unique place to take my wife for a Sox game. The Club Level is awesome for when the weather sucks and from a viewing experience. I’ll go to the upper deck behind the plate on the lower rows so you can see everything. Otherwise I’ll search for good priced tickets by the dugout or in the outfield.
  14. Does anyone know how to get a pair of tickets to the stadium club for a game? Those Campfire Milkshakes sound good.
  15. Some reporting on the interested teams and the trade.
