I really believe the AAA team at the major league level would be more watchable. You would at least see guys not going through the motions. And they would have won 3 out of 23 games.

Nobody could win with this time but Grifol couldn’t win with the ‘27 Yankees. And, yes, even in a punt year (which they couldn’t afford remember) Getz had a responsibility to at least put competent players on the team. He should be fired first. I’m enjoying watching other teams this year and getting to know them better. -

True. Forgot about that stretch. They were cheated in 1992. So about 30 years.

In all likelihood absolutely nothing. Pittsburgh has been floundering since 1979. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Sox still floundering in 2035, thirty years after their last World Series.

We go to almost every Winter Olympics. Usually see most of the curling. 2018 was really something.

They have won three games by a total of four runs. That’s luck. They could very easily be winless.

The Sox are 30th in all of baseball in run differential. On the wrong end. Next closest is 20 runs better. https://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/stat/run-differential More than half of their losses has been 4 or more runs. Their three wins are by a total of four runs. They are less than a handful of runs away from being winless. This is one of the weirder takes.

Of course he was going to get hurt again. Last year was the outlier. He got hurt all the time in the minors and in the majors. It was indeed a massive failure not to sell once he managed to play a full season.

Bbbbbutt, they hired Getz because they couldn’t waste a season with a new guy getting to know the organization. Of course you’re right. Getz is in over his head more than Hahn ever was and is at the same depth as Grifol.
