  1. Sounds like what we said about Micker Adolfo for going on three seasons...
  2. Strip away the BR ranking and they're somewhere in the middle. The Gonzalez and Quero and Thorpe runs are getting a lot of attention...but there's still a dearth of premium talent outside of Montgomery and Schultz. And the jury is far from being out on Colson as a major league SS and Corey Seager Lite (touch short fielding-wise) or a potentially lighter hitting but high OBP corner infielder. The problem is that he almost has to be a star/stud for any type of rebuild to work unless JR is willing to radically alter spending habits in FA.
  3. And Bradshaw fell into their laps the very next season. Wasn't that a coin flip back then with the Bears?
  4. And he even posed for Playgirl. (Yet another reason Jason Benetti was fired...he was never in that "cool/popular" group in school.)
  5. 4-D chess played to perfection just like Hahn... I just feel embarrassed to be born within 25 days of him in November, 1969. Giving Gen X a bad name.

  9. https://www.startribune.com/minnesota-twins-beat-chicago-white-sox/600361143/ “Results have not been there, but we’ve been working really hard,” Jiménez said. “So, I know this is not going to be like that forever.” “For me, it’s come to the field every day, get your work done, and go out in the field and do your job,” Wilson said. “I see things pretty black and white, and tonight, I didn’t do my job.” “We’ve got to win games, man. Bottom line. We took a 5-2 lead, we had a full bullpen,” Grifol said. “We were in a good spot. Just didn’t close it out.” “Wilson’s thrown the ball great,” Grifol said of the right-hander, who had held opponents to 2-for-29 entering the ninth. “I was really comfortable with him coming in, starting at [Byron] Buxton right there. “If it would have been the top of the order, it might have been a little bit of a different story. But that pocket where he came in, it’s a pocket that we targeted prior to the game.” https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/white-sox-walk-off-loss-to-twins

  11. Would still be better than endless concessions promotions, Sox Math videos and the Nationwide jingle. What next...spending more time hyping future opponents?
  12. Anna Sawai is better at sacrifice than anyone on the White Sox...
  13. Hopefully lifetime ban for betting on tonight's game...ofc, the 2 RBI single was meant to throw everyone off the trail who was scrutinizing bets on the game.
  14. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/1948-schedule-scores.shtml 1948 White Sox were 4-19 at this point, on their way to a 51-101-2 record. One KEY difference, Ted Lyons, the manager, is in the HoF. Pedro Grifol will only enter as a ticket-buying customer.
