As someone who has crossed paths with the people mentioned in the article multiple times and I feel terrible for the damage that the article has done to their lives both personally and professionally. As someone who is a member of the fraternity and someone who had to deal with multiple sexual assault cases within Greek life when I was a liaison for both Campus Programs and the Dean's Office at UIC, this issue always bothered me. I read Jon Krakauer's book "Missoula:Rape and the Justice System in a College Town" about the culture of sexual assault at the University of Montana. It was a pretty interesting book. Worth a read. When the fraternity first notified us, saying that they were taking legal action, they said that the three guys were pursuing their own cases as well.
