  1. Playoffs are a crap shoot. All you can ask is that they put themselves in a position to make it and do damage. They did that for two seasons.
  2. And despite all that they were still a pennant contender for two seasons (a rare occurrence for this organization). Unfortunately, the peak was much shorter than expected but they had a legitimately strong roster for two seasons.
  3. They’re actually in a decent position all things considered. It’s going to take a few years though. Should have a top 5 farm system for the next several years and have a clean slate from a payroll perspective at the MLB level outside of Beni’s contract. As always, it’ll come down to drafting and development unless Jerry is suddenly willing to break the bank in free agency.
  4. 3rd seems high. Probably around 10-15 right now with the potential for top 3 as soon as this August following another round of TDL deals and amateur draft.
  5. I agree with that. I think that’s what Hahn was attempting to do last TDL when he acquired Nastrini, Bush, and Eder. If you get one quality starting pitcher and one quality reliever out of that group it’s a great outcome tbh.
  6. Jake has a 0 fWAR and -0.1 bWAR. The most likely outcome of this trade is that neither Burger nor Eder are players of any real consequence. Burger is a DFA candidate in a few years and Eder will be lucky to be a lefty MLB reliever.
  7. On the bright side, the back end of the bullpen with Leasure, Wilson, and Kopech has been excellent this season. Too bad they rarely have a lead to protect.
  8. Leasure is a beast. That dodgers trade might be the best Sox trade since the Eaton trade.
  9. I’ll repeat once again, how the f*** did we get Leasure and Nasty Nick for Lynn and Kelly lol
  10. Gonzalez has his OPS up to .848. Now outhitting everyone on the Dash and also everyone’s favorite draft prospect that the Sox passed on, Enrique Bradfield.
  11. They’re average now after losing their top two defenders in Robert and Moncada. Obviously can’t count on those two but if they were even semi healthy this season the defense would be above average.
  12. Maybe the swing adjustments are working?
