  1. That “chocolate” on the rim is definitely just part of the glass and not actual chocolate, right?
  2. My school is pretty good in hockey, but I don’t follow college at all. I barely know anything about the NHL. I’ll follow more when the Hawks are good, but nothing more than fair weather. Yikes. I remember people making that argument with USC football in the mid-2000s. It was dumb then. This seems even dumber.
  3. Understood. I went to a smaller college, so that’s never been an issue for me. More or less just poking fun. Just ignore me haha.
  4. To be clear, several of you are actually watching the women’s tournament and not just pretending to in order to have something to discuss? 😆
  5. Soxtalk gotta be the only site where you can discuss the White Sox and get tips on how to correctly commit fraud. Gotta love it.
  6. We do have to hope that Grifol is thinking what we’re thinking, and that he’s not just gonna throw anyone out there all season even if someone steps up and proves he can close.
  7. Agreed. As far as we know, none of these guys are able to close, but maybe one of them can. If we just assign it to, say, Kopech right out of the gate and he blows it over and over, we’d never find out if one of the other guys can do it. We’re not competing, so might as well try some trial and error.
  8. You have work in the morning or something?
  9. To be clear, I don’t care either. Gambling is ubiquitous now, and I know a few guys I would consider degenerates. The problem is that the government cares.
  10. I assume these bets were made through an illegal bookie, not through a sports book. That’s the real difference.
  11. The biggest legal issue is that these are bets made through a bookie, not through like Draft Kings or some s%*#. That’s nothing to overlook, especially in the millions of dollars. Although I understand where you’re coming from.
  12. The new Ghostbusters was pretty forgettable. It did not stack up at all to Afterlife.
  13. Seems almost everyone agrees that Ohtani was gambling. I’m sure we all also agree that the MLB will do everything in their power to ensure he isn’t touched. It will look pretty bad when a marginal player is caught gambling and he’s thrown to the wolves.
  14. M. Emmet Walsh - 88. Great character actor. You definitely know him.
