  1. I take back what I said then…🤦‍♂️
  2. Yeah, it’s time to send Vaughn down and let him work through his s%*#. There is literally nothing to lose in doing so as he’s a legit non-tender candidate next off-season if he doesn’t substantially improve by then.
  3. Our run differential currently sits at -51 or -3.4 on a per game basis, which ranks dead last in the league and by wide margin. For reference, the Marlins are the next worse team at -35 or -2.2 per game or ~35% less bad than us. The offense has scored 34 runs or 2.3 per game. The lowest offensive output since the addition of the DH in the AL is the 2010 Mariners at 3.2 per game, which is ~40% higher than our current production. I truly believe that this squad will challenge that record, even if the offenses can’t be this bad forever.
  4. There is room for one RH outfielder though and Pham is better than the junk we are currently trotting out there. I also think Colas has to show he can hit AAA pitching for a longer period of time before I throw to the wolves. I would call up DeLoach since he probably hit about as well as he can at AAA last year.
  5. Oh I misinterpreted what he said then, I thought he was saying he’d only be out another six weeks which would make it very close to eight total.
  6. Yes, but the dude doesn’t have a track record and the rumor coming out of camp was Nastrini was going to make the opening day roster. Getz just dicked around for two weeks without a 5th buy this extra year of control. I may not agree with everything his done, but at least he realizes the value of an extra year of control in a Reinsdorf owned organization.
  7. I’m sure I’ll get flamed for this, but I actually love that Getz pulled this off. I really thought he’d burn the extra year of control for the sake being different, but he handled this correctly and it’s a good sign of how he’ll handle in the future.
  8. Interesting…had not seen that yet. Actually makes sense though as it sounds like Robert will miss at least two months.
  9. We’re going to be extremely bad not matter what, but setting the all time loss record isn’t actually good for us and will suck for the handful of young players that will have to endure. I’m as bitter as any Sox fan, but this signing should be viewed as a positive, even if it doesn’t really change all that much.
  10. Pham was actually good last year though. The reason he hasn’t signed yet is because of his age (and risk of a fall-off) and him probably overvaluing himself. But regardless of all that, we have nothing to lose by signing him and he might immediately be the best hitter in the lineup.
  11. There is zero downside from this move. He’s almost certainly going to be dirt cheap and better than the other RH OF options. There is value in not being historically bad as long as they don’t sacrifice the development of their young players (and there isn’t a young RH OF in AAA worth a damn).
  12. Yeah, I’m honestly not sure. My guess is Grossman, but Pham is better than both of them.
  13. It’s a two game sample and I believe he was sick during his first start. The peripherals are good and he looked ready during the spring. I’m supportive of the move.
