I am thinking b/c of the economic growth of North Dakota, would that be a good state / city to look at. redo the alignments and have them move into the Central, either AL or NL. North Dakota is going thru a boom, with more projected. Vegas, i thought that sustaining a crowd for the whole season may be a gamble, no pun intended. I tried not to reply, but... the population is exceedingly tiny and mostly in lower wage work, not to mention the oil boom is by nature likely to cycle back down at some point. The list of usual metro area suspects remains pretty much the same: San Antonio/McAllen, Portland, Las Vegas, Albuquerque/Santa Fe, Nashville, Montreal, Charlotte, Salt Lake City, San Juan. Long shots maybe New Orleans, Oklahoma City. Honestly I could come up with probably at least 50 metro areas ahead of anything in the Dakotas on a list. zenryan Posted November 28, 2014 Share Posted November 28, 2014 By the end of December, the new St Pete mayor and the Rays should have some sort of agreement to allow the Rays to explore locations in the Tampa side of Tampa Bay. The old mayor of St Petersburg wouldn't even let the Rays look in Tampa. So once that is taken care of, the talk of relocation is probably dead when it comes to MLB for awhile.
