    Of course he was going to get hurt again. Last year was the outlier. He got hurt all the time in the minors and in the majors. It was indeed a massive failure not to sell once he managed to play a full season.

    They are not a national laughing stock or national disgrace. They are ignored. They can’t even get their championship from twenty years ago recognized by local media. Nobody nationally is paying enough attention to the White Sox to laugh at them.

    As you get older you learn to realize these guys we (used to) root for couldn’t give a rats rear end about the fans and your attachment to the team wanes. I realize that’s not universally true but is certainly true with most the fans or former fans I know. They’ve moved on to other teams and are not unhappy. Life’s too short to let entertainment be anything other than that.

    Also, it’s a message board so fans can, theoretically, write their thoughts about the team. If fans are supposed to be happy and positive, please point to the ray of sunshine the Sox fans can cling to.

    Pretty soon it will be gimmick time, like Bill Veeck. Bring in Peter Dinklage to pinch hit. Sign Jennie Finch. There has to be a Willie Mays Hayes or Ricky Vaughn out there. They could sign Trevor Bauer and just call him Wild Thing.
