I whole heartedly disagree with your ranking on Fulmer. Think he has a starter ceiling with 7th-8th inning floor. With that, these are my rankings:

1. Eloy Jimenez

2. Michael Kopech

3. Luis Robert

4. Alec Hansen

5. Zack Collins

6. Dane Dunning

7. Dylan Cease

8. Jake Burger

9. Blake Rutherford

10. Carson Fulmer

11. Micker Adolfo

12. Casey Gillaspie

13. Spencer Adams

14. Zack Burdi

15. Gavin Sheets

16. Seby Zavala

17. Jordan Guerrero

18. Jordan Stephens

19. Luis Alexander Basabe

20. Thyago Vieira

21. Ryan Cordell

22. Luis Gonzalez

23. Bernardo Flores

24. Luis Curbelo

25. Ian Clarkin

26. Amado Nunez

27. Aaron Bummer

28. Ian Hamilton

29. Jace Fry

30. A.J Puckett

Love Eloy & Kopech at 1,2.

I think Hansen is ahead of Robert right now, by a mile. Dude is like a half season of more dominance away from pitching in the majors at an elite level. He might be better than Kopech, just as good, or just below.

Not sure how Robert can be ahead of him before any A Ball ABs. Love me some Robert and the fact that you all put him at 3 has me super excited for this season.

This is great and pretty much mine. I may remove Burr and add Sosa just because I wrote a long post on him so now I’m invested.

I’ll be honest, I really struggled with those last four guys. There were probably a dozen or so up for consideration. I actually wanted to included Sosa, but haven’t found too much about him online and clearly there isn’t going to be much video either at this point. Do you mind bumping your post about him or sharing it in this thread? The fact that they brought him over so quickly hopefully speaks volume how the organization feels about him. And we definitely need some of these LatAm signings to start doing something, as my list only had one (excluding Robert) that was orginally signed by the Sox and that’s obviously not good.

There’s like 3 tiers just in your 40FV guys: the bullpen guys, the high ceiling/no production guys, and the possible bench guys.

Basabe is a guy though that I think his rep among scouts will exceed writers/fans. I’ll bump my old thread

I'm surprised more people don't have Yurchak on their lists. He seems similar to Jameson Fisher, but has more power.

I see Yurchak on one list and Fisher on none. There are good signs with Yurchak but I think everyone has been burned too many times getting excited over rookie ball numbers by college hitters.

I thought I saw Fisher on 2, but I guess I just read the same one twice.

I guess the bolded is true....but maybe this time is different haha. He actually had one of the top hit tools in the draft and I saw one article that had him rated as like the 6th best 1B in the draft. He's been pretty bad at fielding though. Does anyone know how his arm is or if the team is looking to shift him to the OF? I feel like he profiles a lot better in the OF corners than 1B/DH.

I think there are plenty of reasons to think it IS different this time (his age and plate discipline for one) but it’s harder to go out on a ledge for them when before some scout writers say the league has taken notice. If he rakes in Kanny he’ll be on his way.

It’s amazing how far Call & Fisher have fallen. These guys had previously been cemented in the low to mid teens and now are barely cracking these top 30 lists. I included Call at the back end of mine simply because I think injuries prevented us from getting a fair look at him last year. Fisher’s 2017 season was immensely dissapointing to me. The “plus” hit tool hasn’t really flashed and the power hasn’t been great for a legit 23 year old playing in A ball. Combine those with defensive limitations/issues and he’s lost almost all his prospect shine to me.

For better or worse, I really think the Sox need to be aggressive with Fisher next year and let him sink or swim in AA. There’s too much OF depth in the low minors right now and Robert, Basabe, Rutherford, Adolfo, & Gonzalez are all better prospects who are more deserving of high A playing time. That doesn’t even include Call who I’d also prioritize at-bats to over Fisher. Jameson better figure his s*** out next year and fast because there’s a ton of talent just waiting to pass him by.

I'll take a crack at this, with two caveats:

1. I think everyone's top 5 is going to look more or less the same

2. Past those 5 guys, there isn't a whole lot that I like (based more on results than upside)

The farm is clearly in the best shape its been in years, but I think we're still a step back from the Yankees, Braves (post scandal) or Padres. Hopefully the depth improves to offset the misery of losses piling up.

Felix Mercedes is no longer a middle infielder, he's been playing 1B and OF, so the bar has gotten much higher for his bat. Also he missed the 2nd half last year, and I am not sure why.

Yeah, I wanted to ask you about Felix Mercedes. He was doing incredibly well at Great Falls and then all of sudden he was gone and I couldn’t find a single article or note explaining why. He would have been at the bottom of my top 30 if I knew what happened to him and it was simply injury related. Just seems like there is more to the story with him.

I haven't heard anything, and now with the season over it would be hard for me to find someone to ask. I don't want to go to Chris Getz for something like that, not really worth it. But we should see in the spring.

For me, given that his profile wasn't all that great offensively anyway, now that he's playing non-premium positions he's just not in the T30 discussion in my view. That could of course change later.

It's amazing how I always forget about Zack Burdi until I see these lists.

Same, but all of the bullpen guys are kinda boring to follow in minors. Their numbers seem kinda unrelated to their progress and status in org. Nobody could have predicted Bummer so high.
