  1. @Buehrle>Wood just seen your tag from the other thread. Wasn’t that crazy back then when soxtalk went world wide. Sports illustrated called it a “rumor” but in fact it was all true in the end. It’s been years since I posted but I always follow here. I just haven’t logged in under my name in very long time. I wish I had something good to pass on....Just a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Maybe I will be back to posting more often now. I got the itch! Heck I think I was one of the very first members here back in the day.
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 04:53 PM) And got in Sports Illustrated! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/art...10304/index.htm And Cowley is no longer a columnist and has nothing to do with baseball. Rongey used to post here as well. Ahhhh yes I remember the sports illustrated story all to well. I would say after time has passed I was pretty accurate too Lol
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2010 -> 05:15 PM) Nice work, do you have split season? My goal is section 144 for splits. I just moved up to section 149, row 11. Not bad either rock! I have a full 81 games with stdm club 2 seats.
  4. I actually got pretty lucky this year.......my rep gave me a couple of options and it worked out pretty good. Over 4 years i was able to move to better locations every year.........last year i was 149 row 20 seats 9 and 10 ..........this year i am in 146 row 30 seats 1 and 2........so i am getting closer! lol when i started 4 years ago i was in 154 so 9 sections isnt too bad i guess.
  5. I know they are redoing the ramp but also they are putting in a so called "entertainment area" with some white sox stores along with some restaurants......supposidly a GIBSONS STEAK HOUSE SPORTS BAR etc. gibsons isn't suppose to open to sometime this summer and i am under the impression that it is only going to be open on game days or nights, but that can all change. Every year their is supposed to be an add on of some sort.....like boston has (never been there though) but i understand they have an area with nothing but bars rest and sports stores.
  6. I was sittng at the game last night in my seats when of course while the bullpen and especially moe larry and curly (mcdougal, whasserman, ramirez) where in their not wanting to throw strikes and instead throwing wild pitches and hitting batters and of course walking guys. I realized something......the problem we were left with after the grifffey trade was not having a "nick masset " in our bullpen that could come in and legitimately be are long man out of the pen. I know he wasn't a cy young out there but i would of rather of seen nick come in instead of the rotating doors of the pen with moe larry and curly because one of our starters leaves the game early. dj was good up to a point, when the pressure has been he hasn't produced. their is a reason he was picked in the 27th round back in 97. what are your guys thoughts? Did the griffey trade come back to sort of bite us in the end?
  7. And also in the stadium club you can go and walk around in the 300 level they have couches chairs, bars etc. Plus you can go outside and stand in the walkway of the 300 level seats. The 300 level is good if its real cold or raining. back in april when it was 38 degrees outside i went and found myself a nice leather couch in front of a plasma and enjoyed myself.
  8. GREAT THREAD! As a policeman here in the city i had the chance to work the game sat afternnoon as my unit was needed to help apprehend tix scalpers. At first i wasn't going to volunteer to go, but my partner changed my mind. As of 930 am outside wrigley, there was 3 drunk individuals from all seperate occasions that were arrested from urinating on someone's front porch; to throwing beer bottles at sox fans walking to the park, Cub fans don't respect the game of baseball and the right for someone to cheer for the other team, and they certainly don't respect the area around the park. The way the act to the citizens that live there are ridiculous! but on a good note It turned out i had a blast locking up 6 different cub fans that were out there scalping their tix. LOL One guy actually wasn't going to "sell" me his tix not because he thought me and partner were the police (we were not in uniform) but because i had my sox jersey on and my partner had his sox shirt on. So when he got caught after he agreed to "sell" It made me feel all the better!
  9. Well i must say i feel a little bit better today......i had to avoid all newspapers, sports radio, tv etc.......especially didn't want to hear mike murphey as he is on right now. I hoped the sox didn't have an off today for the fact that we can get right back into it against LA and try to put this behind us. But on the flip side, maybe an extra day of the team feeling crappy right now will wake them up and come back with avengence starting tomorrow. i am putting my prediction out there that the sox will take 2 of 3 against them this weekend. but lets take care of the dodgers first as stopping this losing streak on the road is our first priority.
  10. THANK YOU WHITE SOX! Thanks for embarrassing us in front of the golden children of the baseball world and letting all them bandwagon lovable loser fans have something to throw at us for the next week or i am afraid the rest of the year because next weekend doesn't seem like it will be any better. Thanks for letting us die-hard white sox fans down and not even putting up a fight! Thanks for not getting men in from second base w/ no outs. Thanks for waiting to this weekend to pitch like were the pirates. What does eveyone else have on their mind that they want to say THANK YOU for? Its a good way to vent some frustration. I would of been ok if we would of played like this against anyone else but the arch enemy! Man now with minny winning we are only a game and half up and this might be the down fall of us. I hope we won;t have a repeat of last year when we played like crap against the flubs because it was downhill after that.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 08:52 AM) Top Clinton donors starting to donate to Obama. People are starting to realize that they don't want to back someone that really has no chance of winning unless some back room deal takes place at the convention......most of the people have spoken and they are saying OBAMA! I am convinced that hillary will drag this on as long as she can for the fact of if she didn't win, she don't want any democrat to win and wants us to be divided.
  12. This is the spot i come for all the latest news and rumors about are beloved team. here i can rant and rave to other die hards that have the passion about this team as much as i do! GO SOX!
  13. I am satisfied with the signing........if in fact true. I haven't seen any us major sites reporting it yet. But kw went out and spent some money on the bullpen which he needed to do. If we can get another starter possibly bartolo or wouldn't it be something if Kw shocked the baseball world and snuck in and traded for Bedard! Hey i can dream right? Kw has shocked us before!
  14. I say lets take a shot with colon..........When healthy everyone knows what he can do! Its not jose or danks that scare me........its floyd. If we are going to compete this year which is kw's plan we need to have a surplus of players that can step in an be ready to play in case of injury or if someone is going through a rough time. I feel more comfortable with an established verteran that can pitch, then having an unproven minor league pitcher come in when we are in a win now mode to take over a spot in the rotation because of some unkown issue. Kw has found lightning in a bottle before so lets hope he can find it again.
  15. I would love to give colon a shot especially with a one year deal with a team option plus Give him a bunch of incentives for him to shoot for.........if he would stay healthy and pitch at least 75% of the way he used to pitch he would be a great pithcer to have in that 4 or 5th slot in the rotation. I am just not sold on gavyn floyd yet.
