Wow.

I was supposed to go with my family to see LP in concert in August. :(

Same here man. This is so sad. LP is still one of my favorite bands.

LP always brings me back to the Friday nights at the pool hall. They would play them on rotation with the jukebox.

Weird thing is that it feels like a part of the moments at the pool hall that I remember kinda died today too. If that makes any sense.

John Heard dead at 72

While he may be best known for Home Alone, the Emmy nominated-actor made a name for himself beyond that beloved '90s movie and its sequel. Heard's career in Hollywood spanned decades, appearing in a range of roles including Big, Beaches, White Chicks, CSI: Miami, and of course, The Sopranos, which he earned his Emmy nom for Outstanding Guest Actor in '99.

RIP Glen Campbell, 81.

Just lost my grandma to Alzheimer's. Not as bad as Glen's but it sad.

Crazy. I was just listening to a string of his songs a couple of weeks ago in the garage and also watched a documentary and I wake up to this.

Sorry about the loss of your grandma.

Yeah, that documentary that came out a few years ago is really sad. Not sure if it is still on Netflix.

That's the one I saw but on YouTube. It hit home since my gf's grandmother is 75 and we believe she's in the mid to late-stages of Alzheimer's. She lives in Florida so we don't get to talk to her much but when she was living in West Lafayette we'd go visit her every other weekend and we were noticing her dementia symptoms gradually getting worse. This was like a year ago.

Alzheimer's runs in my dad's side of the family and I definitely fear my dad getting it. He is 67 and every time he forgets something, I think about that.

Country music singer Don Williams died yesterday at the age of 78. I can only find reports stating he died of a short illness. No specifics on what the illness was.

My dad brought me up listening to him and I got my gf hooked on a few of his songs. Truly a hard pill to swallow.

Yeah, he was a good one. That deep voice could calm and relax a person regardless of what was going on.

Wow. Talk about a blast from the past! Not a fan of county music in the least bit but my father is from Tennessee and was a huge Don Williams fan when I was a kid growing up. Ironically, my father is the same age and I remember when he was younger, my mom though he looked a bit like Don. Though I'm not a fan, I am sorry to hear about Don Williams. RIP Don.
