President Donald Trump: The Thread

Well, I see things never change around here...the irony is that a lot of these "fake" issues and conspiracy theories are doing exactly what they're intended to accomplish, driving away the conversation from the most salient issues of the day.

Even some of the Fox News on-air talent is pushing back against the Uranium One story and Sessions going after the Clintons' "corruption" storyline.

Meanwhile, none of the probably 100's (by now) of examples of nepotism and violations of the emoluments clause by Trump and his family are being highlighted because it long ago failed to shock...or all of the millions of dollars spent on Secret Service, travel, golfing, Trump venue rental/fees...or even the Pence/Colts stunt and all of the money that was allocated to that rather than a million other better purposes.

All right folks, this is a first call to "Break it up" before things escalate. Heated is fine, personal attack limit is getting pushed.

Balta,

Those three posts of mine quoted above were deleted almost immediately after each was made, the first and third because I realized that they were needlessly antagonistic.

I don't know how else he could have recovered them except for abusing his privileges.

The only one of you who was making personal attacks was the mod in the discussion. sad.

Knowing your tendency to delete posts I always quote your posts directed at me as you post them in one of my windows. I am not abusing any powers because you like to antagonize and leave the posts around long enough for me (or others) to see them and then delete them before any reprimand or accountability can take place. You've done this before as you know and it's been spoken about with the mods in the post. If you are going to complain about your dirty laundry being aired either delete your attacks quicker or don't post them at all. You should consider the rules and the ramifications before continuing on with these phantom attacks.

Color me extremely skeptical given that one of those posts was hours and hours ago and was only ever up for less than a minute at most. You honestly kept these open in separate tabs for hours so you could post them? Someone with access to the back end database could look up the transactions to verify.

I deleted the posts because they were bad posts. They don't have been made, I quickly recognized that and removed. Air them if you want.

Fwiw, rabbit, I've sseen you do the same thing at least once. I didn't bring it up because, hey, you pretty quickly deleted it.

As far as the rest of the mods go, I haven't had a moderation related discussion in years so I don't know what you're talking about.

Any proof? Why do you have to insert yourself in something that has nothing to do with you?

Because you bring down the level of discourse in these threads every time you get involved in them and it's frustrating. I read these threads on a daily basis, so if you're posting BS in them, I have every right to say so.

Like SS said, we can't focus on WikiLeaks when there's bigger news going on.

Did you guys hear that Trump paused his speech to drink water? Unbelievable.

You do understand why they are making fun of him drinking water right?

Hey guys, maybe let's stop chirping, yeah? Take it to the PM's if you want to keep it going.

Back to fun news -- this is real.

I refuse to believe this is real. It feels like a SNL skit.

I thought the same thing when I saw it, but I googled it, and it appears to be real.

FWIW, I first saw it as a commercial on American Heroes Channel, AKA that channel the replays WWII documentaries. I have a feeling that channel's target audience wouldn't take it as satire.

The spill was mentioned in the environmental thread, don't think anyone brought up the elephant trophy thing. I'm sure his sons love it.

Mueller has issued subpoenas for Russia related documents from the Trump campaign. It's the first time the campaign itself has been subpoenaed.

Can you believe it, they are after Jared again. He forgot a couple of more items on his security clearance forms,

Kushner got emails about WikiLeaks, Russia in 2016, lawmakers say

Jared Kushner received emails in September 2016 about WikiLeaks and about a “Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite” and forwarded them to another campaign official, according to a letter to his attorney from the bipartisan leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and ranking member Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said Kushner failed to turn over the relevant documents when they asked for them last month.

“We appreciate your voluntary cooperation with the Committee’s investigation, but the production appears to have been incomplete,” the pair wrote in a letter dated Thursday to Kushner’s attorney, Abbe Lowell.

So Wikileaks wasn't just talking to DJT Jr., and Kushner still maintains a security clearance despite "forgetting" hundreds of relevant details on his background check. The bolded also seems like a pretty big deal.

Back in 2006, Howard Stern stumped the Trumps by asking what 17 times 6 equaled when Ivanka and Jr. bragged that Donald couldn't buy their way into Wharton, they got there on their own merit . Donald got it wrong but still gloated he got it right. Ivanka refused to even answer, and Jr. guessed wrong twice. Looks like Jared is right on par with them.
