Indians signed outfielder Todd Hollandsworth to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
The Indians really wanted to do better here, but Hollandsworth on a minor league pact is a fine signing. He'll probably be the team's fourth outfielder and receive the occasional start over Casey Blake versus right-handers. Pretty weak.
Does this mean that Eduardo Perez wanted too much money? The Indians were supposedly close to a deal with him and Hollandsworth plays the same positions as Perez -- corner outfield and first base. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/post-4-1074910704.gif) |
