Saw Spider-Man this morning and I couldn't stop smiling the entire time. Easily my favorite Marvel movie and one of my favorite CBMs ever.

I was really excited for this when they announced that it was going to be a John Hughes inspired movie but I hated all of those awful trailers and Iron Man's inclusion had me worried but he's not a big part of the film. It might be the funniest MCU film too. Keaton was awesome as Vulture. I loved how they got a bunch of famous child actors to play Peter's classmates in the movie like the boy from Beast of No Nation and the little girl from the Nice Guys. I don't want to spoil anything so Ill stop there, all around awesome movie.

Homecoming

The First Avenger

Guardians

The Winter Soldier

Dr. Strange

I think when it comes to the MCU, this is easily my favorite of the solo films. It doesn't quite achieve the greatness of Spider-man 2 or The Dark Knight, but it is clearly the most fun, hilarious, and best acted of the solo MCU films

It was really great!

Imo, surpasses every version of Spidey and now sits on the top of my favorite comic book movie list (I loved Ledger's Joker, but hated Bale's Batman.)

Homecoming

Winter Soldier

Civil War

Avengers

GotG 2

Looks like I'm going to have to see this one. In terms of my favorite comics of all-time, t was always the following in some order.

- Batman

- Spider-Man

- Wolverine

- Superman

Hopefully they did this one as much justice as it sounds.

They made quite a few changes that some "purists" might not like, but they didn't bother me at all.

Imo, Holland IS Peter Parker. I really was smiling for two hours!

Interesting. I truly felt Tobey was PP in the first one.

I'm horrible because I thought SM:H was just ok. Like I enjoyed it but it wasn't as great as other Marvel movies to me.

I'll go back under my rock.

I thought it was the movie it needed to be. It's not in my top 5 Marvel films and it didn't reshape the universe, but the universe already exists even though Spiderman is basically the most famous character from it. If they tried to make it too big, they wouldn't have done justice to either the character or the universe. Basically they needed to tell a good tale with the kid and they told a good tale about him being a kid.

I cannot disagree with those who would put it solidly in their top 5, because it was a solid film from a perspective we haven't seen much from Marvel, so if you really liked the high school setting then no complaints. I think there's plenty of room for people to have random ones from this series that they like that others don't - I'm much more a fan of Thor 2 than almost anyone I've run into (thought it was an excellent sci-fi flick).

I think now they've got a strong movie with him, they've got the kid where he needs to be before Avengers34, and he's taking the lead in opening phase 4 which should make for a much more epic, big picture film.

I think I put this one just outside my top 5, but in a muddle with like 4 other pictures in that range.

I'd agree with Balta.

Oh, and the other thing I forgot to add - I liked that it seemed like they were extremely respectful of the comic book history. I don't know nearly all of it, but seeing people who do know the series gawking at some of the details or characters they included makes me feel quite good about how they handled this character.

Zendaya becoming MJ seems out of place to me but I never read comics.

Thor: Ragnarok looks a little hokey to me.

Like they're trying to re-create the Guardians of the Galaxy feel.

They are absolutely trying to stay consistent with the GotG look. Marvel is creating their own galactic universe look and Thor/GotG/captain marvel and more to come will be in it.

I’m pretty psyched for Taika Waititis take

I wish that the Skrulls were involved.

Too bad that they're hooked with the Fantastic Four.

Give them time. Marvel will get them back eventually, Fox cant get it right and there is no point in sitting on a property that has lost them money

Black Panther trailer looks...interesting?

When I see Black Panther, I am going to see it in a Kaepernick jersey, in an African head-dress and I am going to see if I can have my sisters (or sistas) throw flower pedals down before my feet so I can walk on them on my way in and out of the theater.

I'm going for that full black experience.

I Redboxed Spider-Man: Homecoming.

I have a few issues with the film.

#1. Why make him 15? I don't think that he even got his powers in the comics until he was around 17.

#2. Flash Thompson as a short Indian nerd that has no athletic ability at all?

#3. Was this Iron-Man: Homecoming? It was lazy writing to have him cameo throughout the film, in my opinion.

#4. Mary Jane was nearly unrecognizable and Donald Glover's character was a throw in that wasn't necessary - in this film.

I'm sure that I'll have more, but I wasn't that excited about it, and Spider-Man has been my favorite Marvel character since I was a child.

This version of Spider-Man is based on the Ultimate Spider-Man Series, which is why he was 15

The iron man stuff was so minor really, he was barely in it

MJ and Flash were odd choices but in the end they won’t make a difference

I saw it for the first time yesterday and I really enjoyed it. Nice addition to the MCU. I also think the Vulture is the best villain we've seen so far in this universe, IMO.

I still love Loki, but Vulture is definitely up there

I really enjoyed the entire scene

when Peter went to Toombs house and he drove them to the dance, and figured it out on the way
