Brian
For all our Twinkie scoreboard watching. Nobody wants to hand out in the AL Central thread with me.

Royals have the tying run on 2nd in the 8th.
Brian
Mark Teahen will hit bombs off us but goes down in the clutch to Reyes.
tommy
I like the idea here. I'm following the game on gameday. Royals can't deliver but they outhit the Twins already, I still like their chances.

I don't anymore. Nathan gonna have at least a 2-run cushion/
whitesoxbrian
4-1 now with Kubel still hitting with nobody on.

Game over. sad.gif

And he does nothing. sad.gif

Seems like KC looks good against us and no one else.

Michael Cuddyer broke a bone in his left foot while during a rehab assignment. Big break for the Sox as he is a pretty good bat.

From Rotoworld.com
QUOTE
Michael Cuddyer, who was rehabbing a finger injury in Triple-A on Friday night, broke a bone in his left foot when it was hit by a line drive and is now likely out for the season.

Cuddyer will have the foot placed in a protective boot today. The injury will sideline him for at least another four weeks, and since Cuddyer has already been out for five weeks it will take him some time to get back in the swing of things. Perhaps he can be ready if the Twins make the playoffs, but the odds of Cuddyer contributing are highly unlikely even if he beats the odds and does manage to get back into uniform.

tommy
That is a huge break for the Sox, however ... his replacement will probably do twice as good, damn Twins.
SoxFan101
Denard Span has been a more than capable replacement for Cuddyer so not that big of a blow, only other guy he would replace is Gomez who seems to kill us despite his overall poor numbers.
tommy
Greinke crapping his pants early, runers on the corners nobody out top 1st inning. Get it together Zach.
Benchwarmerjim
It will be interesting to hear if Grienke's suspension is reduced. He drilled Delmon Young. Young hit a homer earlier in the game, and the batter before drilled a triple off the wall

Reduced or extended?
Benchwarmerjim
well, usually on appeals they are reduced. Im thinking he is not getting that reduction. he may get it extended..I dont know. But it seemed a bit odd to go out and drill a guy when you have an appeal not taken care of
whitesoxbrian
7-3 MIN and KC has 2 guys on with 2 outs. pray.gif

Buck grounds out. S***.

There's no LOSS thread tonight, I think everyone is concerned because now Crede, Linebrink and now Jose are not available.

Tough times coming up.
jphat007
If they hit .314 or whatever it is with RISP (the best number in like 40 years or whatever) the rest of the year, then we are going to lose the division. It's just as simple as that. It's tough to overcome a team setting record numbers like that. If that is the case, then hopefully we can compete for the Wild Card.

And deal with the crap I got last Sunday? biggrin.gif
WilliamTell
I was hoping so much that Young would charge the mound or throw a bat again (as long as he didn't injure anyone) and get a major suspension.
WilliamTell
The Royals scored 2 in the 6th to tie it against the Twins, then they give a run right up so it's now 3-2 Twins.
knightni
Damn Twins...

Damn Royals...

Damn Red Sox...

Damn Sox pitching...

4-2 MIN w/bases loaded
WilliamTell
First man on in the top of the 10th. Seems like the Twins can always manufacture a run with a runner on and no outs. Cmon Soria.
whitesoxbrian
Hawk's boyfriend Gomez strikes out after Morneau strikes out and Mauer singles.

LET'S GO KC headbang.gif

And Young flies out.
tommy
Beslow walks Teahen on 4 pitches.
WilliamTell
Tony Pena Jr. is batting .148 this year and is 1 of 16 against the Twins. I wish Billy Butler was still in the game.
WilliamTell
And what does he do, get a base hit. Winning run at 3rd. 1 out.
tommy
And he singled!
whitesoxbrian
2nd and 3rd, 1 out for KC. Come on Gordon!
Brian
Come on, Gordon. Fly ball.
tommy
Strikes out.. Common ROSS.
whitesoxbrian
We got you a ring, Gloady! Come on, brother!! gosox3.gif
WilliamTell
can't get a hit.
Brian
Gload would of got a hit if he was facing us.
whitesoxbrian
SOB
maggsmaggs
Goddam royals!!
WilliamTell
Lamb at 2nd, 1 out. Harris, the double king, is coming up to bat. Watch the left field line please.
whitesoxbrian
1st and 2nd, 2 outs, for Punto.
tommy
Maybe they can go 20 innings and use all their pitchers, so the Yankees can kill them at the dome.
maggsmaggs
Bot 11. come on Royals, get er done.
WilliamTell
Punto, one of the original Piranhas, is really sucking. 0-6 with 4 strikeouts and 0 for his last 9 with 6 strikeouts.

Olivo singles, lead off man aboard.
tommy
Olivo pinch hits and gets on.
WilliamTell
Picked off at 1st, close to a balk though.
knightni
Damn Royals.
maggsmaggs
Top of 12th, Mauer and Morneau up, Twins prolly gonna score one or two.

3 up 3 down, bottom of the 12th now.
knightni
KC might actually win this thing...
