With the insider trading charges...that will be the final "black mark" against him used by Selig et al to keep him from buying into MLB.
Wonder if this takes a Martha Stewart (Inclone) turn or is less serious?

I don't think this is anywhere near the Martha Stewart witch hunt. It's a civil suit so jail time isn't an option.

He was never going to get in anyways, considering Reinsdorf has a ton of pull and he knew it was a mistake to let him into the NBA, but it's safe to say that this is the final nail in the coffin.

That's what it all boils down to. Cuban never had a chance anyway.

From what I heard yesterday about the charges the most that can happen to Cuban is he will have to pay up to 3 million in fines. No jail time.

I really dont believe Cuban is guilty. From what I heard he did this just to save himself like $750,000 which is s*** to his bank account.I would think he wouldnt want to risk so much for that amount of money, but who knows the filthy rich count every penny sometimes.

But this gives MLB an excuse to deny him a chance. They've been itching to find a way to keep him far away.

There's a thread on this already in the Sports Pub forum. Including a quote from Stern that makes it obvious that Cuban has zero chance of owning the Cubs.
