My father passed away on January 30. He grew up in Northern Indiana and became a Sox fan through listening to their games on the radio in the 50s. He took me to my first game when I was four (which was a Reds game, because at that time we were living in Southern Indiana). Went to our first Sox game when I was 8. What hurts the most is that my son turns four in April and we were going to take him to his first Sox game this season.

Sorry to hear that, man.

I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like he at least passed on his love for the Sox to you, so hopefully that can continue to bring some positive memories.

Sorry for your loss.

Sharing with your kids the stories of attending games with your father keeps him alive. It sounds like you were blessed with a great father.

Bumping this up to ask you all to appreciate your Dad this weekend because it really, really sucks when he's gone sad.gif

Excited. Going to the Sox/Dodgers game with my pops on Sunday.

Thank you for that reminder. My dad just drove down to deliver a truck I bought. He and my mom spent 6 days on the road and basically a day and a half with me because of my job demands. He taught me by example the value of showing up ready to work every day.
