TLR is living rent free in some people's heads. Lynn back on short rest as a game 4 option is better then Giolito on short rest in game 4 and then Giolito has full rest in game 5. That is a better plan than who starts game 1 and game 2. Yet it is the the drunk clueless old manager pandering to the guy he managed 10 years ago that has had as good a season as Giolito. Giolito is a veteran as well. Pandering to a veteran would be pitching Dallas over Cease....which may happen then you can b**** about that and have a case. Some people act like Jim Parque is being handed the ball over Jack McDowell.3 points

I never said he had COVID. I said he wasn't with the team. I said it was a fluid situation. If you weren't so insufferable you would realize that the Sox beat has acknowledged Abreu's status for tomorrow's game is in question. I am the first person to say that was the case. I am sure it was just coincidence.3 points

This tweet is clearly the result of rabbits post. He knows nothing. Just remember he was like most of us and didn't know the option rule when the Sox sent Collins down, which means his source didn't either. Dead giveaway to his phonyness.3 points

Correct, I had the first 6 game win streak in May (and most consecutive threads (9), because of also starting the second game of a doubleheader after a first game loss, which they won before losing the following day). @Tnetennba had the second and most recent 6 game win streak. His also has a better season winning percentage (8-3 .727 vs. my 9-5 .643), and should have first honors if we are selecting based on merit. That said, I take Game Threads very seriously. I kick the thread off with quality information, and have intense focus throughout the day in an effort to coax the best possible White Sox performance.3 points

This is true. If they're thinking about Lynn for game 4, I get it. Although Carlos has to be topping out at 90 MPH for that to happen IMO. Carlos' last real good start where he flashed good velo was against Boston. I think when push comes to shove, he'll still be able to get it up there. But I doubt he can go any longer than 4 or 5 innings. Also, Lance's numbers against Houston are a legit concern the past 2 seasons. 2019 - 28 IP, 3.54 ERA, 8 HR, 6 BB, 39 SO 2020 - 11.2 IP, 11.57 ERA, 5 HR, 4 BB, 12 SO 2021 - 4 IP, 13.5 ERA, 0 HR, 1BB, 6 SO I will say that the start this year was right before the sticky ban and it was pretty clear that Lance was pitching without pine tar/spider tack for the first time in a while that start. He struggled massively with location and got tagged by Robel Garcia with the bases loaded.2 points

Yeah, hope Lynn shoves; just hope this isn't some dumb LaRussa veteran angle where we trust the veteran to go twice in the series over Lucas. If it ends up that the series goes 5 and Lynn pitches twice over Giolito, that's not great managing.2 points

I don't know man, it's been a long time since 8th grade biology but I think it has something to do with viruses, these little bits of RNA, not even DNA, that get into our bodies and fuck with us.2 points
-
Not sure I like Lynn possibly going twice this series, both in Houston, where he has historically struggled. Lucas' numbers against Houston since 2019 are amazing. I know Lynn has way more playoff experience, but his numbers in the postseason aren't that good.2 points

It's leaves. I said he was sick and was not with the team. Which the media just reported now. Get help. Players who don't have COVID go into COVID protocol every week. Thank you2 points
-
Of course. But the team has also said it's non covid related and specified. I assume he got tested and it came back negative. I don't think Hahn would have said non covid related if he had covid.2 points
-
Seems like many can’t read between the lines. In all candor, I don’t know for sure if Abreu is or isn’t playing tomorrow. That said, there is a distinct possibility he does bot play. I don’t know if he or the team even knows if he plays at this point. He didn’t travel with the team. Not sure what the COVID protocol is anymore or what hoops he would need to clear as a vaccinated player.2 points

MLB is in the stone ages. I know nobody will feel sorry for me in Hawaii, but we are blacked out for 5 teams.... not one of which is within 2,500 miles of us! Add to that, 3 of their RSN's aren't even available in Hawaii. Just idiotic. And before we heap praise on football, unless you subscribe to DirecTv satellite service (not new streaming service) you're back in the 70's watching your local game on CBS or Fox. Being a Bears fan in Hawaii means we MIGHT see 4 games a year. I know, maybe that's a blessing these days but I'd like the choice.2 points

As bad as Eloy looks out there sometimes, speed is a component of being able to play outfield and Vaughn just can't cover ground. He's fine when something like this year happens and your 3 best OF all get injured, but he's never going to be a full time OF. Sheets is not redundant because there's really no other lefty power bat in the organization. There's nowhere in the near future that both Burger and Vaughn are in the lineup, so one of them can be traded.2 points
