    Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil

Rick speaks how I used to write term papers with word counts. Why use 6 words when 20 will do?

    Machado signs with Padres 10/300

This isn’t entirely true. Nevada sports books can only offer prop bets that take place on the playing surface and can be verified in a box score. The only exceptions are coin tosses. The sports books taking action on where Manny signs are off shore.

I don’t know about hate but Danny did a hell of a job calling out Bruce on his bullshit. Bruce was overwhelmed and out of breath lol. It’s about time he calls it a career.

    Sox sign Melky Cabrera

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 01:36 AM) Someone like Gordon Beckham ? Can platoon with Conor too at 3rd base since the only good thing he does is play decent defense and hit lefties pretty well. No. Pretty sure that the Johnson/Sanchez tandem can manage to hit .220 on their own.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 12, 2014 -> 12:16 PM) If they could figure out a way to take out the old post office, but leave that footprint, that might work. That isn't going to work. Someone owns the property and is planning on redeveloping it (http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2014-06-18/business/chi-old-main-post-office-20140618_1_old-main-post-office-cold-storage-building-developer). The main reason that the building has gone untouched for so long is because of the amount of asbestos within and the costs to remove it.

QUOTE(J-MAN @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) How the heck did you get so lucky! My son and I were logged on on three computers and were totally shut out ! Have fun at the games! Honestly I Do Think That Luck Had A Lot To Do With It, I Just Made Sure Not To Have Multiple Windows Open At The Same Time (That's Why I Wasn't Able To Make It To Any Games This Round). My Dad Was Completely Shut Out And Was Trying At The Exact Same Time So I Would Definately Say It's Luck. Thanks, I'm Sure Will Have Fun, Especially If They Keep This Up!

I Got 2 Tix To games 1,3, And 4 All Lower Deck (Section 111 Row 18 For Game 1, Section 111 Row 10 For Game 3, Section 113 Row 29 For Game 4). This Is Kinda Nice After Being Left In The Dark For The ALDS!

Brooks was above our seats by the beer stand offset to the right (I guess he knows where to find us) . It was funny because he was definately a lil bit drinky himself. He was dropping f-bombs like none other while still maintaining to keep his usual friendly and insightful composure. He was going nuts when Pablo stole home! Great guy...

QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) Sorry but that's golden I post both places, why the description of the cult? Eh...I would say mainly because of things like the name tags, their tendencies to repeat the same 3 lines from Major League time and again (I really used to love that movie), sing the same drinking song for every beer consumed (and trust me, there were many), and the way they would jump into the air screaming over any ball that a Sox player popped up. Don't get me wrong, there were some cool people that I met there from WSI, but I would say the most contributing factor that led me to this opinion was mainly caused by the age difference from WSI posters to Sox Talk posters. The younger ones tended to be the cooler ones, and well the older ones seemed to be trying to act young...But in the end we all have the same goal I guess. GO SOX!
