Yermin retiring? Nope. Wait, maybe yes? Wait, he's active in Charlotte again.

Thanks guys new to soxtalk but been a follower for a few now...it be disappointing to see Yermin go after hot start but unfortunately without a true position here it be better for him to find his niche somewhere else but Yerminator will always leave in our hearts 😂😂

It also means retreat.  The lack of diversity on this site is hilarious and unsurprising.

Do you mean those people that are able to use google translate and those that are not?!?

I wonder if that Chicago joint will remove the Yerminator from their menu and replace it with a Burger Burger

This at all related?

I doubt it.  Micker has been hitting well in BHam despite the K's.  Might as well let him rake in Charlotte and hope someone takes a flier on him.

Yermin has been working on his past balls. Not going well so there is your context.

This whole saga trying to figure out what Yermin is saying reminds me of that satirical ESPN bit back in the day where Barry Sanders says he called his coach and said "I'm tired", but the coach thought he said "I'm retired".

How in the world is Yermin who barely made any money playing professional baseball retiring at 28?

Well it's not much but I believe he now has healthcare for life and a partial pension for life as well. The pension is something like 9K a year for life.  Probably not enough to life on unless he wants to go back to the Dominican and live quite frugally but he's certainly got a good start on the rest of his life -- if he does retire.

FWIW, this is a Not Steve Cishek rumor. Also Garcia hasn't been all that good for the past month.

Yermin has a 167 wRC+ in AAA right now and after the new CBA is signed there's very likely to be a universal DH. There's a multi year MLB career in front of him if he just waits it out in AAA for now. He'd be out of his mind to retire.
