White Sox likely didn't expect Jacob Gonzalez to be available either. Not the most exciting profile, but he has performed since Day 1 in the SEC with elite plate discipline and hand eye coordination. Very complete hitter with a pull-oriented swing, which can be tweaked. Nice pick
