For those curious as to why Rodriguez is here if that’s the case, he was the Sox’ only option for a fill-in when Romy Gonzalez hit the IL. All 40-man infielders are either here already, hurt or not far removed from minor league injuries (Lenyn Sosa and Bryan Ramos).
