QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Nov 5, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) I wonder if they'll televise it I'm sure FOX has rights to it, and the DVD will be out in time for Christmas. It should make a fine stocking stuffer.

I'm listening to Beautiful Disease, the unreleased album by former GnR bassist Duff McKagan. It's REALLY good!!!

I own 3 pair of 505's. Bought 'em, I think, 2 or 3 years ago. Two black and one blue. The blue's are torn to shreads now. Yeah, those are the only pants I own. Kind of funny, I own more pairs of shoes than I do jeans. LOL! What's "The Gap"???

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 2, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) so have we decided what Tex is doing next tuesday??? Red Light District in Boise, Idaho.

I guess I don't understand the hang-up that Who fans have with Kenny. I mean, Keith Moon was DEAD for crying out loud. THe band chose to go on, and they chose probably the closest living thing to the intensity that Moon had. Anybody questioning Jones need only listen to the stuff he did with Faces. The guy was/is a monster on the kit. Hell, the three biggest pounders from the era were probably Moon, Bonham and Jones. The vote is still out on Baker, as he only hit hard but wasn't anything special otherwise. Oh hell, neither was Bonham really. Sorry. But Jones was a logical replacement.

I just listened to it. I guess what I don't get is the lack of "intensity" and "bombast". I understand that Pete has sensitive ears and all that crap, but why not atleast turn it up for an album? It's not like it would hurt ol' Petey's ears. I mean, I have a feeling that many Who fans want that BLAST that is synonymous with the name THE WHO. Instead you get a bunch of Celtic tinged folksy numbers and lightly distorted Old People Rock. Daltry sounds like he wants to reallybust back out and ROCK, but old man Pete keeps him back with a "Well, Rog...ya know, me ears hurt".

Who's in the band? Were they atleast somewhat smart and call up Kenny Jones? Listening to it, I am guessing not as it doesn't sound like him.

I will never pay to see a film by Victor Salva.

Sad thing is that it isn't entirely his fault. There was a serious goof between the telepromter and the video footage. His main fault is that his ad-lib sucks. But his "yeah" at the end after the anchors "thank" him rules!!!
-
How does that work? I just don't get how it's possible to get so much into such a small area. His plummer either loves him or hates him. No in-between for thta guy.

Sadly, I don't get as many as I used to. Finances dragged me down a bit. But, those I do enjoy that I try and get: Video Watchdog Bubblegum Slut Unbelievably Bad Mad Scientist G-Fan I think everybody should be reading Sonic Ruin. ahem. There are so many more I would like to read, and so many more that I know I will be getting soon.

I DL'ed it last night. I only checked out a couple of tunes. Better than I was expecting, and doesn't sound like they are pulling a "Stones" and just going through the motions. They actually sound like they cared to put out a good album. I'm not the biggest Who fan though. Daltry always bugged me a bit.

The main selling point to Dish Networks HD package for me is MonstersHD, which is actually pretty dang good. http://www.monstershd.com/ There was supposed to be The Horror Channel, but that finally tanked after something like 3 years of false starts. They are now an online station. http://www.horrorchannel.com/ I've never heard of FEARNet.

Yeah, the new Setzer is incredible! He's decided to show a ton of diversity, and he really shows why he should be considered one of the greatest professional guitarists to have lived.

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Oct 26, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) Pffft... The Tigers are so much better that they'll still win in just 6. Good teams find a way. Ah...ummm...green? It would have to be a team literally pulling miracles, wouldn't it?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 27, 2006 -> 08:10 AM) "I hope you won't judge the entire Brian Setzer orchestra by my actions." LOL!!!

The only thing any of you need to know about that was released in the music world this week: Going to get my copy tonight.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 27, 2006 -> 12:54 AM) Sorry, Kid, I wasn't in any position to yell anything at the stage. To be honest, going into the concert, I only knew a few songs, although I knew going into it was going to be a fun and upbeat concert. They really put on one helluva show. I wish I knew the words to more of their songs, as it's always a lot more fun being more "involved", but I still had a rea great time. I've been to very few concerts, but this one ranks atop my short list. That's O.K. It would have gone over the heads of almost everybody in the club. Flogging frontman/leader Dave King is the old vocalist from the brilliant old early 80's Metal band Fastway. Not very many people, especially Molly fans, are aware of the connection. Dave King used to have one of the strongest voices in music, but it's kind of gone now. Not only is Jenna hotter (in the show and in real life), but she is also a Horror film fanatic in real life and wrote the movie Slither, which was also directed by her boyfriend. So she is also super-cool. Look for her in the Bravo special on Horror films right now, and tell me she is REALLY hot.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 26, 2006 -> 10:09 AM) Flogging Molly tonight at The Rave. Looking forward to it... Please yell out for them to play "Easy Livin'" and tell me what happens. Please.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 25, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) Celebrity Skin was the name of the album, the first single, and a mid-80's band that Love wound up having to pay royalties to. They had to pay royalties to Celebrity Skin??? But they took their name from a semi-Porn 'zine that featured famous people naked. Celebrity Skin, the band, was pretty dang cool and did a cover of ABBA's "S.O.S." that was unbelievable. Celebrity Skin:

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 25, 2006 -> 02:59 PM) They Might Be Giants are rude assholes who couldn't find the time to say hello to the only station staff in Columbus who was playing their music in 1998 when they were doing an in-studio appearance. Their music sucks also.

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 25, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) My first car was an Escort and I drove that thing to almost 100K miles, sold it to a neighbor's kid and they drove it back and forthe to college every weekend for 3 years. It was nasty looking and the doors were about to fall off but the damn thing kept running... My first was an Escort also. Wrapped it around a tree. The day I got my license. My parents were not very happy with me for some odd reason. It was the Probe and the Windstar that made me realize what a crappy company Ford is. The cars are crap, and their customer service is beaten only by Dell and Giordanno's on how bad it is.
-
I swear, older Taurus's are the biggest rust buckets on the road. I've owned 3 Escorts, a Probe, and a Windstar, and the last auto company I will ever support again is Ford.

Ya know, for all the bad about Love, I do have to admit that I like her acting. I also don't give a rats-booty what happened to the Nirvana catalogue. If she is a money grubbing whore, eh, doesn't effect me one way or another.
