Youre not even counting the absolutely massive bureaucracy requied to administer it.
-
Yea, we dont need an entire generation filling that quota.

Heres the issue I have, You provide college free, as so many here seem to want. They call it an investment and we'll get our money back. Then you create a big plan to provide basic income, so listless 20-somethings dont have to worry. Its an investment, we'll get our money back. Now theyre getting a little older. Their bodies are developing some issues that cost money to fix. But it keeps them working, its an investment we'll get our money back. Soon they make an oops. Credit card debt, foreclosure, they get laid off. We'll take care of that too, its an investment we'll get our money back. Now theyre 50, knocking on the door of retirement. They demand the SS and Medical coverage because they paid into it. They dont want to work anymore, either. Our investment? More like a Ponzi Scheme.

Youre actually correct, I confused courage with righteousness trying to galvanize myself. Im not going to argue with you there. But I do believe for every exception you create more windows for abuse, and in a country this big that abuse can get costly in a hurry. So, do away with all of it.

Im going to try my best here to not be insulting. We really dont need you. At all, even if I were using the term "you" broadly to address the many others living near identical lives. We need lawyers (sadly), geologists, truck drivers and sad office drones. We dont need dreamchasing actors. America would keep chugging along in their absence. Theres really no nobility to it either. But if I go further down that road Im afraid Ill have no choice but to insult so Ill stop here.

Which makes it even weirder that you go along with it. Are you really that desperate for any form of added gun control? Even if it has the kind of side effects Ive described? I ask this question periodically and never really get an answer: What are we protecting people for? Not what are we protecting them from, thats easy, but what kind of life are we preserving here?

Because someone has to work at the plant to support the guy partyi ng and doing whatever in New York. Ive said numerous times I got no problem living the struggling actor life as long as youre independently capable of supporting it. But when you cant do that, and you then expect to make the same amount as the guy working a miserable 9-5 packing Stouffers by way of garnishing the plant workers wages to subsidize your life... Yea thats clearly f***ed up.

You have to deal in absolutes or you'll run into major inconsistencies with what you want. Say whatever you want about me (yes Im an asshole in person too) but I know for a fact Im consistent. That matters, you call it intellectual simplicity but I think it takes a lot of fortitude to use the "screw em all" approach.
-
Hmmm should I work at the plant in Solon OH or make the same money struggling as an actor in NYC?
-
I actually love driving truck. I just think Im going to enjoy the enjoy the end much more than the means.
-
I write all of this on my phone. I think I do a good enough job. By the way, none of you have said anything to really counter me. Id beencouraged that maybe you'll try not to blame and oppress the crazies anymore, but were about due for a good sized shooting a B-) d you'll be right back on the horse again.
-
Im less repulsed by the ones who fancy themselves charitable spending other peoples money.
-
Oddly enough it is liberals and lefties who cry foul when they have the same rights or the evil organizations that oppress them get defunded. The more mentally ill you have the more people you vab disenfranchise and eventually get rid of, genius!
-
Like I said, theres no problem with that if you can support yourself. But when youre turning to food stamps and Obamacare payoffs to keep following that dream youve now included me in the suffering. Thats wrong.
-
Except the acting profession has a disproportionate amount of dreamchasers and wannabes. I used to work at a very famous comedy club in Chicago back when I was working 3 jobs. I saw them a lot, but there's maybe 5 openings for a job and 500 people who wabt it. The other 495 arent really adding much to the product.
-
The diffence is I dont demand people feed me money to support it.
-
I dont really like TV, some movies are cool, video games turn me into a sloth so I gave them up years ago. I answered your question, now make the post everyone knows is coming.
-
Something's gotta give then. Im sorry Reddy, really I am that whatever GERD is f***s with your life. But thats not my problem. I shouldnt have to pay for it. I want to live on 50 acres in the middle of nowhere with my guns and an army of Mazda Miatas to swap V8's into. Thats my dream, yours is being an actor in New York. The difference is Im going to have to work myself to near death driving this truck for 10 years to make that happen. Its infuriating that you get to do what you want living off money that isnt yours while I have to endure 3 or 4 months away from home at a time risking my life to make what I want a reality. All the while my rate of saving is slowed and the timetable gets pushed back years because some of what I make has to get diverted into the pot you leech off.

Am I wrong? Dude doesnt make any money (though who really knows now since he let it slip hes just gaming the system), chooses to live in the most expensive place in America, has frivolous medical expenses like having his vocal chords checked then complains about the people subsidizing this life of his? You want to be a struggling actor in NYC? Fine. Thats your choice, but you gotta own it if you go that route. Its complete bulls*** that the rest of us make all these sacrifices to do a fraction of what we want while this guy cries poor living in New York.
-
Oh man, this pisses me off a lot. If I wasnt just going to take the penalty I'd be furious paying for your care. "Doing the actor thing", motherf***er thats your choice. Dont go asking other people to make up for the fact it doesnt support your lifestyle.
-
Hed pay more if he could though.
-
About that, it actually depends. Sometimes more, sometimes less. The question I have then is why are you having your healthcare subsidized by the rest of us.
-
So its ok for you to get his money because he works harder than you? Damn right you appreciate it man, hes allowing your parasitic lifestyle. The mentality of the poor is so annoying. If you actually worked as hard as the rest of us you wouldnt be so willing to pay more. You just dont have any concept money because like some teenager from Wilmette driving a German luxury sedan to New Trier, you dont have any idea what goes into making that wealth just that youre entitled to a cut. Youre not allowed to say youd pay more if you could, you cant. You cant relate to the rest of us who support you.

Hahahahahahaha

Because nobody gives a s*** about them. It takes absolutely no courage to stand up for blacks, gays or women. Zero. Theyve got all the rights we do except gays cant marry in most states. Excuse me while I hold off outrage over that while millions are told none of the legal protections afforded to us apply to them. Like I said earlier, gays, women and minorities vote Democrat. The mentally ill dont, so they dont count in the big tolerant society vision.
