I know that much, but you can't deny that he's been showing far more offensive ability than any other winger has this year on that line. I don't believe he sticks for the whole year, but someone else has to be better, preferrably Teuvo.

There are 2 reasons Shaw is so successful on that line. 1, due to not being a center, he has more freedom to roam around the ice and 2, since he has 2 of the best defensive forwards in the NHL on a line with him, he can be way more aggressive. The top line wasn't doing much of anything until Shaw stuck there. I'm not attributing Toews' resurgence entirely to Shaw, but it's certainly helping.

  3. I really like the Sekac/Garbutt deal for the Hawks. He's younger and FAR more skilled. I was just watching Sekac last night against the Wild, and he can create some scoring chances. It certainly adds a little offense for this season, and hopefully they can lock him up for the same salary because he has potential. And obviously as stated, this frees up over 800k in salary for next year.

  4. Just came back from 5 days in Denver. Dammit do I love that city. In one afternoon, I drove up to and around Lookout Mountain for incredible scenery, saw the Buffalo Bill museum and grave, went to Red Rocks and walked around, did the Coors Brewery tour and also checked out Mile High Stadium.

The drive south to Colorado Springs/Pueblo is also really gorgeous.

Chat crew was the best part of soxtalk.

Wow. I'd totally forgotten about that. 97% of the conversation had nothing to do with baseball.

I'm coming up on 13 years?!?!? And 25,000 posts? :o

Anyone ever do Body Beast and if so can you give a review?

My buddy did it last year and said he absolutely loved it. 90 day program focused on bulking up. Considering looking into it myself.

    In August, I was at 212 lbs (I'm 6'6).

Last month, I weighed in at 189. Stress/work/breakup made me lose months of hard work in the blink of an eye. So now I'm back at it trying to get to 215.

Weighed in this morning. Gained 3 pounds this month, up to 196.0. 19 to go.

I eat a lot of food....

    - Breakfast: 3 eggs (scrambled), wheat bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon, banana

    - Snack (after my workout): Protein shake, Chocolate/Peanut Butter Clif Bar

    - Lunch: 2 big Salisbury steaks

    - Snack 2: Apple with peanut butter

    - Dinner: Chicken alfredo pasta

    - Dessert: Greek yogurt with chia coconut granola, flax seed, honey and fruit

  8. For the love of God, someone please help me.

I heard a song on the radio the other day, can't remember a single lyric (not sure there even were any?) but it sounded like a Johnny Cash song. It's a newer song, but the music reminded me of Ain't No Grave or that damn Ford commercial.

UPDATE: FOUND IT! Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?

  9. I started dating my GF in July. Since then, I've lost 20 pounds of muscle. Went from 211 to 191.5. So disappointing to see all that hard work go down the drain. Getting back into it the last couple weeks though. I've been eating and training like a mad man.

The JGCs are the bomb. I've had a 2011 and 2014 of the new model and both have been pretty much rock solid. If you don't care about tech, the wrangler is also nice.

I'm really looking forward to test driving both.

Capital One does prequalifications for auto loans on line if you are close. They will tell you what credit line you qualify for and what your interest rate would be. Going from there you can go backwards to get your payment with a compounding interest calculator.

    Awesome. I'll look into that.

  11. I'm getting closer and closer to buying my first new car. It's kind of intimidating since I don't know what to expect. I'm still not sure whether I'll lease or buy, but I know I've narrowed it down to a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler Unlimited or a Dodge Charger. I'm 24 and building credit, so I don't know how my credit score will effect my interest rate and what kind of loan I might qualify for.

If you like reggae (I've brought friends there who "hated"it and became big fans after leaving), Bob Marley's on Citywalk is always a blast. Place has an amazing vibe starting at midnight on.

Miller's Ale House on I-Drive, food is OK, people watching is prime-time here. Great for watching sports

Dining, if you are looking for something unique (I go to Orlando a lot for work)....look up Pharmacy. It's as hidden as it gets but it is incredible. Only locals know about this one for the most part.

Downtown Orlando (as in the city downtown) is awesome, great bars/restaurants/clubs on Orange and it is very clean. Worth a cab.

Other than that, anywhere outside of downtown is tourist trap hell and there are MANY chains. I would suggest a Yelp or TripAdvisor search near where you are staying if you want to stay away from chains.

    Much appreciated!
