  1. wow look at Hernadez's picture, he looks older than both my grandpas, and they are both dead
  2. garland looking shaky now letting up a double, triple, and single, are they going for the cycle?
  3. Greg walker should be out, its easy to see from our players' swings that they try to pull to much, may i nominate Chris Harrison for the job? (Former U of Mich. head coach and now owner of Mich. Sports Academy where i train now and teaches extension, going oppo when required, and basically is sweet)

  5. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 06:02 PM) Well, when you look at what Jason Jennings got traded for, you can't help but wonder if the Sox couldn't have gotten a better package (Hirsh and Taveras? or Hirsh alone?). And looking at Floyd's career numbers and current performance, it's baffling what the Sox saw that they liked so much. That said, none of us will ever know what the trade market for Garcia was, so maybe it si time to just stop speculating.... Jennings is better than Garcia CURRENTLY and in the FUTURE, he suceeded in a hitters enviroment and seems to be improving, meanwhile Garcia had gotten much worse last year and i KNOW that many people on here said how bad he was and that we needed to get his ass out of town did i hope that we could have gotten more? yes of course, but in reality in a nonprejudiced view to i really feel like we could have gotten a lot more? no i dont, anywho Floyd is the type of players taht the sox need to go after, in that he was a high risk high reward type player, if he panned out he would have seemed like a great pickup, in that he has a pretty solid fastball, and great curve and has/had mucho potential, the sox need to go after more of these guys in the draft of the high risk high reward brands with a mix of "safer" picks so that you have a few top of the line type guys with an abundance of decent players and rotoworld said that jennings was worth only hirsch, and were very surprised that they got so much, so maybe the market for jennings was more than expected while garcia was recieving the same criticism from other teams as he did on here
  6. 90, barely beating the worn down tigers for a wildcard berth
  7. QUOTE(Craig Grebeck @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 12:11 AM) if it goes pods erstad... ...i will boycott the white sox. screw ozzie and screw kw for the trash they're overrating. Relax Mr. Angry Slacks if you're a true white sox fan you'll go thru thick and thin for the team, and if you're not then i really dont care about your opinion, anywho, give the guys a chance to prove themselves in the regular season, thats what matters and we shouldnt jump to conclusions as this is baseball and the weirdest things will happen
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 12:42 PM) So why the Hell can't he give Brian Anderson the same treatment, and actually use Erstad as the backup OF he should be used as. im pretty sure he is trying to field the best team, and if he thinks anderson is going to hit sub .240 this season then maybe he isnt the answer and erstad could be, im not saying that he is but anderson needs to prove himself in AAA before he should start again, he sucked at offense, no one can deny that, and his swing and plate approach was awful and he may need some more instructional ab's in the minors before he is ready to reach his potential but i do wish we could rewind to 05 where I waited in aw for Owens, Sweeney, Young, and Anderson to duke it out for what i thought could have been one of the best outfields that the sox have had
  9. Brian Roberts is reportedly close to signing a 2 year 14 mill contract extension with the orioles, so with Iguchi becoming a free agent next year what do you guys think he'll get? i think around 3 years at 5 ill per
  10. wasnt daniel cortes traded for sandy?
  11. as prejudiced as i am, illinois should be in, the stats are there, i mena just look at michigan state, yes they had the hardest sched in the big ten but they went what, 2-9 on the road? thats pathetic, illinois went 8-8, they beat indiana twice, michigan state once, and took care of business at home as usual, they have 23 wins there losses are as follows: vs. Xavier vs. Maryland at Arizona (in phoenix) vs. Wisconsin vs. Ohio State at Mich State at Iowa at michigan at Indiana at Purdue vs. Wisconsin (at chicago) only the xavier and michigan losses looks bad to me, every other one is reasonable, even xavier went to their conference finals and michigan was a bubble team for a long time and in loaded with seniors 9even though they do suck )
  12. i almost fainted when i watched officespace again a month ago and noticed that John C. McGinley was one of the bobs, man he is such a good actor, actually all of them are, esp zach braff scrubs=addiction x infinity
  13. i know a lot of people are high on fields, i am too, but he needs another season in AAA, he can kill the ball but needs to work on his strikeouts, otherwise i believe you could see an anderson type year, jsut with more power, and he has so much potential that i would rather see him as a sept call up or on the team next year so he can get the experience My Surprise Move: Kenny doesnt make any moves! oh and pods comes back and dominates on the bases and at the plate
  14. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 8, 2007 -> 05:13 PM) Rogowski now PH for Konerko. Anyone else find it interesting that Rogo is getting so much work in ST? Trade bait perhaps? im not surprised, hes getting older and has developed into a pretty good firstbasemen, just stuck behind the two goliaths, i could def see him get traded since PK and JT are undercontract for awhile and he would be a nice addition for a team looking for a cheap firstbasemen (nationals? maybe but wat would they trade back?)
  15. floyd looking impressive, i love that endurance, i think he's lasting longer than javy did last season ^^^^ green
  16. I live in ann arbor now, so i watch every possible tiger-sox game (even though they are mostly on foxsports which apparently doesnt come with my deal), and made it to comerica once to see them, i lost all respect for the cubs after last season and this offseason, oh and i do get wgn so thsoe few games to
  17. How about this? i moved from chicago and they win the world series 2 years after, i barely see any games now
