  1. I did the unthinkable and got tickets to tomorrows game…..have been so conflicted the last few weeks in regards to getting tickets but taking the soon to be 2 year old and hoping he can have some fun on opening day was too hard to pass up but at least he will never remember the outcome or this season….idk why I put myself through this….someone should report me for child abuse….hopefully the kiddo likes pregame fireworks at least

Everyone realizes that Grossman is not a good defensive outfielder, right?  Pillar had that at least.

Grossman isn’t a butcher out there and can has a batting average over .189 so I’m good with it. Either way you are just shuffling chairs on the titanic

  3. It’s a homer F for me. I’ll be honest I don’t know anything about these guys other than what I’ve read throughout tonight but it’s Getz pulling the trigger on the deal so that automatically gives me pause. Everything that had been rumored leading up to the trade and what we ended up walking away with left me feeling they came up short in the deal. However I am happy the trade is finally over and the speculation can finally end on when they would move Cease. From what I’ve gathered on the interwebs…Thorpe is the get here out of this deal. The other pitchers is one who may or may not be slated for the bullpen, another 29 year old reliever and a 19 year old outfielder who while he may take walks is still in high A and has plenty left to prove. I really thought Getzy would stock up on a closer MLB ready positional player bat as part of a Cease deal versus more pitching. They have already acquired Eder, Bush, Nastrini, and Schuster to go along with Schultz. While I get you can never have enough pitching I was left unimpressed.

Bold statement I know, but chances are the Sox are projecting some of the players involved differently than we are.

That doesn’t give me any extra confidence when it’s a team that is happy to trot out there over the hill veterans who only play defense and prioritize adding a bunch of slap hitters all throughout their lineup. We shall see though….

Grifol is trying to reach Jim Boylen legendary status in just over one season.

Pedro has and will likely continue to be stuck with the worst rosters in MLB.  That said, only Bevington and La Russa 2.0 are in the running with Pedro in terms of worst Sox managers since I started watching in 1975.

This organization just cannot get out of its own way. Until JR dies it will continue to be this way until the new owner guts everyone in the organization and brings in someone with a fresh perspective

These remind me of the $35 dollar jerseys that I used to buy from China.

Yep. It just gives me yet again another reason to save money when at the ballpark this season 🙂

Grifol is all about not holding vets accountable, but going in on young guys.

Poor Colson/Ramos/Fletcher/Colas/Sosa/Popeye are basically going to have massive targets on their backs in the clubhouse if the team fails.

Wonder where Grifol got that idea from 🤔 there is a carcass named TLR floating around this organization non stop…..
