What a leader.  Sign him up.  He can give the rest of the team the tough love that they need that Grifol is too cowardly to do himself.

That dude did not win any hearts with his actions.  A leader is not someone who goes around puffing out their chest and yelling at people.  A leader elevates, mentors, and communicates thoroughly.

Not to mention he was a toxic teammate. Cleveland dumped his ass after he was pulled from a game and through the ball out of the stadium.

The entire Dodgers dugout immediately voted to ban his ass from the clubhouse at the first opportunity. Started a fist fight after taunting beloved Joey Votto his short time there. Arizona was glad to dump his ass at the first opportunity.

I was against the Sox pursuing before any domestic violence allegations were publicly known. And the Dosgers once again did a s%*# job when it came to evaluating these widely known issues before handing him nine figures, and then crying to Manfred once they no longer wanted to pay him.

    Forget it, he's rolling.

So I tried something different this year.  Instead of picking individual games, I kind of packaged up some groups of games to see if I could turn an overall profit.  I took each of the top 10 most likely upsets at to win odds.  I also did the same for all of the 2 seeds.  If one of the 2's gets upset, it pays off for at least 2:1  I think I need 2 to 3 of the decent upsets to pay off for all 10.

    Welcome to degeneracy.

She is our second child. Her weight has fallen since to 8 pounds 15 ounces and rebounded to 9 pounds 2 ounces. We (my wife, the pediatrician and I) think it has to do with the fat content in the breast milk and not getting enough of what our baby needs. So long story short we will be using some formula to supplement feedings and I will be cleaning, sterilizing, drying and giving bottles!

    Thanks!!

Hopefully you have some sterilization device to make it easier.  Not sure if we'll have a second child since we're already old as is, but I would be curious how being a clueless first time parent compares to knowing what to expect to some extent.

It’s amazing how fast they grow up and time flies. My son is 3 and it felt like just yesterday he was in diapers.

We welcomed by daughter last Tuesday and she’s a sweet little baby girl. 9 pounds 15 ounces and 21 inches long.

Congrats!  Is this your 2nd child?  She's a big a girl!

  6. My little man is going to be 2 in June.  They grow up so fast.  Just yesterday it felt like he was always in my arms, now he's running around kicking over the pet water fountain and splashing water everywhere. 🤣

  7. I feel I am monopolizing this thread but whatever 😄

So I found a really solid position that I applied to.  I want to reach out to what I believe is the HR/Talent Acquisition member to shoot my shot and introduce myself.  I was going to use LinkedIn.  Does anyone have any advice regarding cold communication for a job application?  I know networking is the key to getting a job these days but in case where you don't know anyone that works there, what is the best approach?

    Thank you in advanced, Soxtalk!

I always believed the first and last weeks were the most important. I actually returned to a company I left. Never burn bridges, it just isn't worth it.

I left one company and the owner asked me to stay a month to ease the transition. The company I was going to agreed. What I remember the most was the new company stating my sense of responsibility and personalism is exactly what why they were hiring me.

But I would prioritize researching at home your next move. Getting the new job while having a job is easier.

Does the person giving you a hard time have a financial gain if you don't make it until your bonus

No it's not their money.  I decided to pretend to make up and play nice until the bonus, and will be heavily looking for another job in the mean time.  It's really difficult working for bad managers, I salute those who have no choice but to put up with on a daily basis.

Any vacation time you can take? Even if it's a staycation, you can avoid being in the office.

Do you have another job lined up?

I have vacation time, but no new job lined up yet.  I'm working on it now so I can be prepared to leave.  I'm responsible for a new product launch so my absence would not look good.  I still need to juggle professionalism with my desire to leave, right?

  10. Struggling at work right now.  My boss' boss has a stick up her ass about me and I am giving her no ammo to do anything.  She is just trying to make my life miserable at work.  I am just biding my time for the bonus so I can slide out of this position.  Any advice on how to cope?

  11. Doesn't it blow to root for a team with one of the worst owners in sports?  Most of us probably have decent lives and just want to watch a good baseball team.  Is that too much to ask?  For Jerry, it is.

I don't hate people (strong dislike for sure but hate... not at all), but Jerry makes it really difficult to keep it together and not be a homicidal maniac.
