  1. at least Touki is a starter. It really has seemed like Hahn completely gave up on trying to build pitching "depth" at various points over the last 2 years
  2. He should have been IL'd immediately after the Dodgers appearance letting Crochet continue to pitch with his velo down ~3+ MPH was incredibly dangerous and shortsighted
  3. Old friends Carlos Rodon & Ian Hamilton are starting rehab assignments for the Yankees tonight
  4. It's not a unique opinion, but it's outrageous how talented Tatis is. He might be the 2nd best player in baseball when he's actually on the field.
  5. The NL West is shaping up to be a very interesting division walk-off bomb for Yaaazzzz to beat the Padres
  6. Good stuff happens when AV pulls the ball 🙂
  7. This is what every position player on the team is currently on-pace for. Robert has a good chance to be more valuable than every other member of the "core" combined.
  8. I agree with your general points, but look at tonight's roster. Whoever you think is the greatest manager that's ever lived isn't winning with this.
  9. I wish Robert had a clue at the plate but he doesn't deserve being lumped in with all of the other underachievers
  10. Bochy is awesome but he isn't the reason their hitters are all having career years. Surely their org overhaul went beyond the manager.
  11. And they're the two best hitters by a mile lmao it really is pathetic
  12. The talent level is pretty comparable at this point too
  13. The number of replacement level or worse players on the team right now is astonishing
  14. No. The Sox are huuuuuuuge outliers in the lack of production they've gotten out of 2nd base since 2005. They're 30th in fWAR at 2nd base post 2005 and *12* WAR behind the 29th ranked team.
  15. Well, at least Clint Frazier was an awesome prospect 6 years ago
  16. The few times per week Eloy actually elevates the ball are fun
  17. Griffol rides SPs a lot harder than most managers. The Sox are 5th in innings covered by starters.
  18. Bullpen games are fairly normal at this point, but the lack of pitching depth is still appalling
  19. Sosa is further along in his development and has performed better than Popeye throughout the minors. Every time he swings over a slider people in the game threads want him demoted.
  20. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2023/06/18/phillies-june-winning-trea-turner-boos/70333575007/
  21. I think Pedro is very far down the Sox list of organizational problems, but he doesn't help himself with quotes (or lineups) like this
