Timmy, Yoan and Benintendi still without a homer at home this year.
Tim and 10D haven't hit a homer anywhere.

Just let everyone return from injury so Hahn can’t use that excuse anymore. This is such a pathetic organization.
That excuse ended in 2021. We had a much better record when guys were out. When we got healthy we became real average and finished the second half as a worse team than KC and Detroit.

With Hendricks back the team is finally whole. Lets not give up in May. There is still time in this division.
Come on. This was supposed to be a champion, it's over.

Pedro basically said the pitchers he used was how they scripted it with Graveman in the 8th and Kelly in the 9th. Huh?? Kelly has never been a closer, Graveman has.
He is a moron that would only be hired by us. You can't script s%*# when you are on regular season life support. When he got 6 pitches to get 3 outs, you could have said, we will see how the 1st and 2nd batters go next inning.

Losing 10 in a row cost them that luxury.
In any case. This offense has zero consistency and will continue to kill any chance of a prolonged streak.
Joe Kelly has been great, but man yesterday was back breaking.

How the hell can this organization not understand the basic concept that in all divisional games where there is a two game swing, you start your nine best damned players every fucking day, and you get the scrubs their damned playing time when you play the oaklands and baltimores and inter league games that literally mean nothing in terms of divisional jockeying? How are we this dumb?
They aren't dumb, they just don't care.

This game has been all Tigers. Looked like we might steal a win, but maybe not.
Not our day. Win tomorrow.
The schedule picks up after next week. Losing 3 of 4 or splitting with Detroit is not good. Let's steal this one back.

The bottom line is we hoped to win with the rebuild guys. We put no effort into adding quality young talent to protect the window from busts and injuries. The FO also operated as if other teams wouldn't try to get better as well. Teams like the Orioles, Blue Jays, Rangers and Angels should have never passed us by. Look at how the Rangers, Padres, Phillies, Astros, Blue Jays, and Braves have operated and compare them to our FO.

Unfortunately Ricky was fired to accommodate JR/TLR bromance.
Ricky sucked and should have been fired. The problem is that we hired to bad replacements in a row. I just don't think a team that wants to win, (even if they are delusional) hires Grifol to be their manager.

I said this back in 2017 and was attacked as being a Cubs fan. Hahn needed a chance they said. No matter that he’s the one who drove the Titanic into the iceberg. They wanted him to man the rescue ships too. What could go wrong?
It is never Rick's fault. Blame Kenny, TLR, DK, Jerry, etc. Hahn is just now starting to get his fair shake. Dude is just simply, ass juice.

That draft looked amazing on paper. Then reality set in that if the Sox are high on a guy in the draft he probably sucks.
Yep, lesson learned. If they like a guy, they should not draft or sign him. In FA if they feel uncomfortable signing a guy, they need to bring the Brinks truck. They are legit clueless.

Vaughn leads the team in RBIs.
The guys ahead of him help that a ton. Robert for instance, typically has no one to drive in.

Id be bought in if we didnt lose 3 of 4 to these same Royals last week. Not getting my hopes up but good series for sure. Pitching looked good, especially the pen
If we go 6 and 1 this week, I'll be all in again for sure. If we go 5 and 2 and pick up 1.5 to 2 games on the Twins I'll be all in again for sure.

He is much more athletic then Vaughn and Sheets. Had we all not have to continually be put through 1B in the OF he makes some sense.
Vaughn has sucked for most of this season. His job should not be safe with the hole we are in currently. If only Eloy could play 1st base like the washed up corner outfielders and third basemen.

Man I am tired of these AAAA lineups. Have been for 3 years now.
-
Sheets is unplayable in the outfield and Burger isn't it at third. I'd go with 10D in right, Eloy in left, and Burger at DH a few times a week. I don't like Eloy in left but we need offense so whatever. Sheets can PH and DH for certain matchups.

Tim sure has been apart of alot of losing baseball around these parts. Tim also misses a bunch of baseball games. Yeesh thats alot of missed games. Not good.
I think most of Tim's wins came in 2020 and early 2021. Since June of 2021 the records are probably similar when he plays or not.

We’ll see if he gets asked. Alec Bohm handled it ok.
He likely didn't say it but it is fun to think about. Fire Hahn.

Had Rick Hahn actually had any dignity, he should have resigned in October 2020. Literally everyone in baseball would have understood it. He could probably have negotiated out of any noncompete clause for a reduced salary and taken a job as an assistant GM somewhere with his reputation mostly in tact from having rebuilt the Sox into a playoff team. He could then wait out another GM job if that’s what he wanted. He also would have gotten out of any of the restrictions on spending that people believe are imposed on him. He’s here by choice.
Rick Hahn is the problem though. And the only job he is getting is here because of JR and Kenny. No other team is putting up with him even after 2020. He had a ton of failure on his resume and didn't do that great in 20 or 21.

The window is painted shut. They are hanging on for dear life and any excuse will be used by our FO. Our fans use excuses because we don't want to believe this thing is a failure. Because where do we go from here as fans? Could we ever trust this organization again?
