Yellowstone is great. Beth is the best character.

Don't mess with Beth....that's for damn sure.

After all the praise here....told my wife we need to binge Succession next.

Just finished the 4th season here.  IMO it took about a year and a half to get going, but was pretty good.  I think I enjoyed more of the side characters than some of the main ones though.  Most of all I love the scenery.  So beautiful.

The problem with Yellowstone is going to be like Sons of Anarchy if they go over he top.  SOA went from a bunch of biker dolts to master mind  criminals...Yellowstone already has some of that engrained in the fabric from day one so it can be realistic without being too over the top.   The end of season 3 was over the top and I am glad they walked in back in this season as to not Jump the Shark.

I just started watching YellowStone a few weeks ago. First few episodes were a bit slow but really really glad I stuck with it.  My wife and I both enjoy it a ton. Going to be bummed when I catch up.  We just finished season 2 - which was fantastic.  I think some mentioned Beth as there favorite character...I'll probably jinx him right now (and for all I know he dies in like an episode haha) but Rip is my favorite.  But the acting is really superb out of most of the characters and as Mike said - even the sub-characters are great (i.e., the cowboys all have their own unique stories that are fun to watch).

The only person I really can't stand is Jamie. Don't like the actor for whatever reason - but he might be doing such a good job at it cause the character is also supposed to be super unlikeable (or at least that is my view of it).  He literally reminds me of Christian Bale in American Psycho (not sure if anyone else sees the similarities).

Funny thing about the scenery - I told my wife - how about we drive an extra 8 hours to the mountains next year (vs. where we normally go in the winter with the kids) so we can go check out Montana.  Has always been on my list - but the show has given me some extra inspiration to make it out there.

Yeah, I also hate the interactions between Jaime and Beth.  I can't say much more because I will spoil something you haven't seen yet, but we'll talk more when we get caught up.

As of now I think my favorite characters are all of the ranch hands.  I love Jimmy and Tex especially.

Yes on both - Jaime on his own is bearable but when it is him and Beth it just is beyond over the top / absurd.  Like psychotic.  I am assuming it has to do with their mom(s) death....but I am sure more to come.

But yeah - Jimmy and Tex are great.

The funny thing about Pam and Tommy is learning some of the smaller details about it.  Seth Rogen and Nick Offerman trying to offload that tape on all of the LA porn companies and being stonewalled was one of the funnier scenes so far and it wasn't something I ever really thought about

I just finished watching all 10 episodes.  The 10th episode is the final of the show so no waiting for more seasons.   I agree that it is hard to get in to but I'm glad I stuck with it since it is a good show and everything is explained and tied up by the final episode.  Lots of scenes in Chicago including a 2005 flashback where the actor is wearing a Sox scarf.

For those of you who don't know Station Eleven is about a COVID type virus that is super contagious and far deadlier.  It's not so much about the spread but what happens to a certain group of survivors.  It can seem bleak at times especially considering the current circumstances but overall its an entertaining show.

So it is a one season deal?  Aw man.  I LOVED it.  I am hooked and hoping for more.  There is years worth of materials they could still do.

It's based on a book and the show covers everything in the book with some changes.  You can go to reddit to see a list of the changes.  Some are pretty big changes.  They could work with the author to make a sequel if the show ends up being really popular.

If you were a fan of fresh prince of Bel air, the new series is a solid spin on it. It's modern and serious,  but there are also some solid Easter eggs thru it.  The characters are really well done.

It looked interesting but I wish they'd quit putting all these shows on these streaming services that I don't feel like paying for.

I watched the first season of the new Saved By the Bell show on a free preview but that's about it.

I pay for Netflix and my daughter pays for Disney+ but I don't want to have to add a dozen other services.

Yeah we pay for Disney right now and we get Peacock with Comcast.  We turn HBO on and off depending on specials and what is current.  We will add things like Hulu or Showtime depending on when something is on for a month or two at a time.
